Got my Serling head from jmlsuperman today. When that boy ships something he don't mess around.

I can't believe I almost missed out on this. Another Bergholtz masterpiece. The expression with that slight smirk is classic Serling. Now I'm just torn as to whether I should go color or b&w for the paint, I'm leaning towards b&w.

Big thanks to Andy and Jml for making another dream figure come true. :bow

Got mine yesterday and it's fantastic! Now to commission someone to paint, then get a body, shirt, suit, tie, shoes, cigarette... Thanks, Jmlsuperman, and kudos for the fast shipping!! Andy, awesome sculpt! You rock! :wave

Actually just 4 releases (5 figures total).

Although there were some Outer Limits figures, might be the extra ones you are thinking of.

got mine! what a great sculpt! thanks!

that face just takes me right back to being ten years old watching the Twilight Zone on a black and white tv...

I have decided to send my Rod Serling to Figuremaster Les...but I did fix the ear up good as new. The grey in this pic is not the repair, it's Gunze surfacer, and it completely covers the repaired area -- there is no edge.

Gonna look cool with my Gremlin and Kanamit!

:chew

I'm looking forward to seeing pics when he's done Gruff. Are you going for the B&W look or are you having him in colour?

Cool. I haven't decided which way to go. You've made me think about it. You're swaying me toward colour, just for the sake of not having to have the hands painted as well, and seeing as the rest of the TZ crew are in colour, may as well go with the flow. Or would it be more in keeping with the Twilight Zone theme to have him in B&W. :ghost

What are the rest of you Serling Freaks planning?

Going color, again to match better with the rest of the series.

Although it would be awesome to have 2 of them (color and B&W) on a shelf together... it'd be Rod meeting himself in an episode of TZ :rock

I just joined the Forum today so 'scuse me for digging up old threads, but I'm a HUGE TZ fan so will be picking up Andy's fine, fine sculpt if I still can. Too bad Sideshow never made an official version. It seems so obvious.

I wasn't going to make anymore heads, I still have a list of every single person who purchased one making it quite sparse. Even the ones that were lost in transit (if they truly were and I wasn't duped) have been accounted for. I have only a few more left but they have all been professionally painted and have complete suits and bodies and are not cheap. I would need at least 60 more people to want a head to make it worth while to cast them up. If 60 more people want one and pay for them, I'll do it, but otherwise...?

And how much would one of those completed ones be? You could PM me with the price.

Thanks for the info, Jml. I didn't realize they came unpainted. I really don't have the skill to paint one up so will keep an eye out for somebody selling a completed figure down the road.

Or maybe Sideshow will actually release a figure (using that sweet Andy sculpt).

Sideshow will never release one, as long as Carol Serling is alive, she will never approve a licensed figure, the reason Sideshow never did one to begin with.

Speaking of TZ I FINALLY GOT THE ENTIRE DEFINITIVE COLLECTION SET a couple weeks back! I love it!! What a great collection, a lot of great extra's included with it. Highly suggest this set if you don't already have it.

How odd. I didn't know she was against merchandising Rod's likeness.

Back in the '80s, she was involved with the magazine. In fact, I wrote to her asking if they planned a new comic book as well. She actually wrote me back and said she didn't have the rights for such a thing. I still have the letter somewhere.
