Wow....:wacky

Though he never wore that costume combo in the film and I think the inaccurate glasses are more distraction than enhancement, it looks nice.

That's cool. Personally, I'm a stickler for screen accuracy. :duff

Ususally i'm also.
But in this case it's so specific that i went my own way.
But you know the first thing is "passion and pleasure".
I want ot have fun building my fig and sometimes you need to get creative :D

But you know soon i will have a motorbike tshirt so... ha

While he wore the grey pants and boots with the motocross shirt in promo pics, when we see him wear it in the film he has on different pants (we never see his shoes in that shot). So technically it still wouldn't be screen accurate. ;)

What you're failing to realize, Entropy, is that Cinema re-writes itself to suit Seb's customs because, well, they are just that awesome.

But not likeness.:D

Debatable. I've read all sorts of wacky hyperbole opinions about the accuracy of various likenesses, it never fails. And it's hilarious that everyone who posts considers themselves a freakin' expert with almost zero knowledge to back those opinions up. When others sing the praises of globby or rough or flawed sculpts I feel no need to chime in and deride an artist's work and it amazes me that others are compelled to do so over and over and over again, with snotty superiority attitudes. It's one of the more disgusting elements to this forum. The 'perfection' and 'crap' comments are often just troll like behavior from the pathetic 'look at me' attention seeking posters here attempting to needle or belittle someone else for their own infantile amusement.

Well the internet has always been known to turn grown men into children through the guise of anonymity... if that's not a case study for inner character I don't know what is...

lets not give attention to those who do not deserve it.

Theres a lot of amazing work and creativity here and enough variations/options to get something for everybody, stuff like likeness is subjective... just buy what you like... be inspired by what you like...

too much bad energy in these forums as of late. Let's just use this forum to celebrate Sunhoc's great head and all the fun stuff people do with it and we can use Rainman's thread to celebrate the fun and great things people do with his stuff. Lets cut the who's better crap out... no one's gonna agree anyway and both are probably miles better than the buffoons who cut them down can do themselves anyway!

thing is, we are all anally retentive, pedantic, insulting in our own way, and we all think we're intellectually superior and more qualified to critique sculpts. ALL OF US. at the same time we also deride posts that do the same thing. i do it, you do it, we ALL do it. that also makes us hypocrites. but that's the nature of the board. it's just the way it is.

if you like rainman's sculpt, just ignore the criticisms. you don't have to go to bat for him everyone time someone makes those comments. for me personally, i see much MUCH more tyler and pitt in daniel's head. but i don't get frustrated every time someone says both heads are equal in quality (that to me feels like an insult to daniel's head), or that daniel's is imperfect.

regarding the praise of flawed sculpts, i can tell you why rainman is a target. the custom section used to be a place for the freaks by the freaks. everyone was just sharing work and occassionally selling that talent, but primarily everyone was a member of the boards. praise was to encourage one of our own. let's not kid ourselves, rainman is a business man first and foremost. he sells EXPENSIVE items, through a "representative", and doesn't participate on the forums. that makes his stuff as open to criticism as say an HT product IMHO. he's not a part of SSF. i am very VERY grateful to him for the GBU figs, but his status here makes him open to that criticism. i'm sure he doesn't even read or know or care what we say about his stuff. especially when it's selling out at $650 or $700 a pop.

rainman made a great figure but i've been waiting for a tyler durden like so many others for years. and when i first saw it, i thought there was no way i was going to buy it. i went with seb instead (because we share a philosophy and passion for the subject matter, which i'm not sure rainman does - how can we know?) and daniel's incredible HS.

it's all opinions dude. and even repetitive "insulting" ones can be ignored. but like i say, we're all guilty of the same crimes.
