The science behind this piece seems solid (thanks Scar!). Now its just a matter of SS delivering on their product. Got my fingers crossed that SS doesn't drop the QC ball on this or the Carno I also ordered.

And good news! There's enough for everyone! :D :chew Honestly I'm just grateful to have an outlet for my paleontological diatribes. As the girlfriend so frequently points out, most people can only stand so many digressions on theropod conspecific cannibalism or siblicide in dromaeosaurids, etc. Nice to be able to talk somewhere where you know the people listening aren't just humoring me and letting me talk until I'm tired and need a nap. :lol

Oh no, believe we're listening and learning man, we may not always understand every word, but it is interesting and very informative like I said..

Got your PM, too, JC. Feel free to add me on aim and shoot me an IM whenever you like to discuss more paleo. :rock

Sounds good man, I look forward to talking to you...

And I didn't mean to make it sound like your posts and info are crap, I meant it in a good way heheh :D

:lol No worries. And I'll try to be on AIM more as best I can. :rock

Is there a company that makes high end statues of dinosaur skeletons in a similar scale to SSC's maquettes? I actually have pretty fond memories of putting together those flimsy 3D dino skeleton puzzles as a kid.

Yep, Bone Clones has a few awesome things, Dinostoreus is great too and you can find their stuff at www.prehistoricplanet.com; their T.rex progression partial dentary is one of my favorites. Then there's paleocraft mainly for their model kits but still great. Here's their painted T.rex in a hauntingly familiar color scheme. ;)

Oh...I probably should have phrased that differently. What I should have said is I can't wait to see pics of these at SDCC... Sorry.

I'm looking forward to that immensely as well. I should have the dio by then (shipping in May apparently), but I'm looking forward to seeing the T.rex and Carno a great deal.

Especially since I think the Carno should be a production piece so we should get an idea of the paint job.

True, by then we should certainly have an idea of what we'll have in-hand. It's going to be exciting this year! I'm always pumped for SDCC, but this year Dinosauria has me enthusiasm through the roof. :rock

I always approach SDCC with a mix of excitement and apprehension. Excitement to see what's going to be released and apprehension about how much it will cost me. Best SDCC ever was 2006 when the Yoda 1:1 bust went up. It's the centerpiece of my collection.

Wish I could attend SDCC, but living on the other side of the country and working full-time there really isn't any practical way for me to get there in the near future. One day, though. :D

I could get the time off work, but it'd cost so much to go I prolly wouldn't be able to buy anything up for order. :lol Hopefully I'll be able to go when I get a real job.
