They probably were but they were free so they are automatically fun for me since my friends and I always buy PPV stuff and split it up among us then go on the Internet. Stag i think you are right. Arlovski is still good but he doesn't have too fight. I don't see why all these dudes who get destroyed and are clearly past their prime insist on fighting. Take your skills and try and teach young guns what you know. You are still involved with fighting but don't suffer horrible deafeats.

I only got to see the last two fights last night. Roger's fight was a fun 22 seconds. Shield's fight was decently impressive.
The WEC looks good on paper. Hopefully it provides some exciting fights.

I hear ya.. I wasn't comparing it to PPV events though just in comparison to Strikeforce's last free CBS event. Compared to that I thought the fights were meh. I think even the next free CBS Strikeforce card will be better.

Speaking of fight cards, i'm extremely excited about UFC 99. All of the fights except the main event. I'm interested to see if Caol Uno and Cro Cop are back. My bets are Cro Cop wins but Uno will not. Every fight on PPV is exciting to me, but the main event is weak, overall i'm pleased.
My picks are:

Cheick Kongo vs. Cain Velasquez
Mike Swick vs. Ben Saunders
Marcus Davis vs. Dan Hardy

Kongo will use his reach, kicks, and speed against the stronger Velasquez. Mike Swick will use expirience and pure technique against Saunders. Davis is just pissed off and wants to destroy Hardy. I still don't understand the rationale of making UFC 99 PPV and not free on Spike. Overall that's a pretty weak line up for a PPV Event imo.
