Well here's the thing. It's like, let's say you don't like Black people. Ok. Fine. That's your personal opinion. We might not agree with that opinion, but it's yours and you're entitled to it. Fine. Thing is, if you work for say Microsoft and you make that same statement now there's a problem. Because right or wrong, the reality is your personal opinion now gets entangled with Microsoft's name. Because you work for them. And after making a statement like that, if Microsoft continues to employ you (again, right or wrong) it looks like they condone that.
Same thing with BJ. His personal opinion is his personal opinion. But when that opinion is about co-workers at the same company, it looks bad for the company. MMA in general already has the stigma of being "human (rooster <--- censored you know the word. lol)-fighting" and there's also been a lot of fighters testing positive for steroids/drugs. That's a negative. So by being an employee of an MMA company and stating you believe a couple of your fellow co-workers use steroids with absolutely no evidence in a public statement not only is that slander but it's not very smart from a business stand point. Because why would a company want to employ someone who bad mouths fellow employees!? That statement makes the UFC and the NSAC look bad. GSP has never tested positive for anything and he's been tested numerous times. So by BJ saying GSP juices, he also saying the NSAC is stupid because they can't catch him and he's also saying the UFC employs a cheater who continually gets away with it.
Not good. I have no doubt that those apology videos were the result of Dana/the UFC "talking" to Penn in a similar fashion to the way Dana "talked" with Lesnar after he bad mouthed their sponser at UFC 100 (Bud Light). Which was equally as stupid. Those sponsors pay your employer, who pay you.
Like I said, right or wrong, when you work for a company especially a high profile company you need to understand your "personal" opinion no longer represents just you. It represents that company as well.
