Just got back. Here's my quick write up.

Heartbroken by another Cro Cop loss... Vitor(one of my all time favs) knocking out Franklin(my all time least favorite) more than made up for it though. I only made out with two autographs. Paul Buentello who has a new UFC contract, and Jason Brilz who made a completely unnecesary apology for his fight.

Other thoughts: I was dumbstruck by how Kampmann fought. He played right into Daley's only strength, when he could have easily submitted him imo. Kos did pretty much what I expected him to. Tyson sheds his point fighter identity in awesome fashion over a dangerous opponent. Efrain shocked the hell out of me. McFedries wants out after two minutes every fight yet I consistantly pick him to win. Dislocated shoulders are gross. Awesome submission from inside guard by The Horror Story. Vladimir is bad ass. The rest were fun, but meh.

Oh and there was a fight in the crowd. ON THE STAIRWAY. I saw like two punches and then a guy go flying down like six stairs. Then he got up and started fighting with a cop. So the cop cuffed him and took him out.

I say put Vitor vs. Marquardt and give the winner next MW Title shot (If Hendo is fighting A.Silva next).

The MW division went from having nobody in line for Silva and LHW having everybody close to a title shot to completely switching, I love it.

Vitor and Marquardt is an excelent matchup for No. 1 contendership. The MW division is getting really good with Marquardt comign into his prime, Vitor coming back, Hendo refocused, and the likes of Oakami, Belcher, Akiyama and many others may I say the MW division is getting a little stacked???

Hendo and Marquardt both already had their chance against Silva and lost. I say let those two fight it out for the next shot at the MW belt and let Vitor have his shot at Silva now.

I definetly agree with you on Wandy and Cro Cop. I'm not a Franklin fan but I would like to see him lose again before I say he's completely done.

I dont think Franklin is close to being done. He's still got it, it's just that the opponents he's been facing are tougher than he is. He could still beat more than half of the people in his divisions.

He could win sure, but he will never be a title holder again, he clearly can't beat Silva and if he was to go up the LHW division is far too competitive and stacked for him to get to the top.

just because someone can't or wont be a title holder isnt reason for them to hang it up if theyre still young enough and can fight. There's many more people before Franklin that should quit if that is the case.

Hate to say it but real talk: Vitor TKO'ed Franklin with THREE illegal shots to the back of the head. Happened so fast you couldn't tell in real-time but if you watch the replay in slo-mo it's right there. Vitor definitely stunned him with that left hook (after Franklin was initally stunned and dropped) but afterwards, three illegal shots to the back of the head.

Dana White is talking like Vitor is getting next shot at A.Silva too.

Just watched it again twice. i disagree...once Franklin went down to both knees the first left hand hand hammer fist Belfort threw hit Franklin on the right-side of his face. Then Belfort hit him on the temple on Franklin's left side of his face, and the last hit went to the back of the neck area right below his left ear. All clean imo.

Agreed, he's had some real tough fights recently, maybe time for a tuneup or two to get back on that winning streak. I did expect more from him and Vitor though. I'd hate to see him become more of a gatekeeper than contender though.

As far as illegal blows I thought the same thing initially, but watching the replay I'm not convinced. Has his camp complained?

Havent read anything, and for such a big fight for Franklin's title chase, you'd think they would if they felt there was illegal blows.

I honestly don't see any. MAYBE the last final blow behind the ear could be questionable, but that really looks like more of a shot to the back of the neck. the rest of the shots were all to the temple or side of the face so im not sure where you guys are seeing illegal blows?
