Yep, he got beat. He's a Sactown boy and i will always root for him but dang he could not get it going. Aldo is real and will be on top for a few more fights.

Hell yeah, I love Faber and love him even more now for having such heart, but damn Aldo is a beast. His striking was dead on and his defense and movement were top notch tonight. Some really good
fights tonight. Not one boring fight in my opinion.

3am and Bellator is on NBC right now. Im a happy man, watched a great night of WEC and now watching Bellator on network television.

Should be a great night of fights.

I'll take Faber by UD.
Cowboy by 3rd round TKO.
Brown by UD.
And Banuelos by TKO.

I hope you didnt bet on those fights :lol

I told you Faber was tough Devil,I knew he wouldnt get KTFO, hes one of the toughest in the sport, but he did get wrecked, it was a great night of fights, but damn, I thought Rampage had his leg F'd up against Forrest, this was the worst beating I have seen a leg take without a guy giving up. I have taken some leg kicks before, so I can imagine how much pain those kicks hurt. That fight could have been stopped when Faber was in that crucifix, but Aldo wasnt hitting him very hard. Its hard not to like Aldo, hes a pretty humble guy, but hes too good for anyone in that division, I think he could have a chance to take the WEC 155 title and if he wanted, move to the UFC.

Yeah, really a good PPV. Saw it at a bar with a couple of friends. Sad thing is the buy rate will probably be lower than the next UFC PPV, which looks like crap for the most part.

Bellator is all over the NBC networks. MMA is popular, but it's become bloated IMO.

Yeah I agree. Networks dont care about the sport. They just want something to profit from.

Does anyone have the PPV numbers? I'd like to see how many people paid to watch.

PPV guess-timates won't be out for a few days. "Guess-timates" because the UFC never releases the official numbers, so it's speculation and (on the UFC's part) their word. They're usually pretty close though.. so it'll be a fair idea of how the show did on PPV.

Yeah.. you were right. I thought Aldo was going to run through Faber. I still think he could've but he decided to fight smart and not fight reckless. Still, Faber isn't a push over like I thought. He tried his best.

I saw the pic of his leg.. sweet lord. :sick

Its not really a matter of the networks caring about the sport because its not like MMA even compares to say football or basketball. As big as MMA is its still a tiny blip on the radar as far as sports go.

Them getting any air time at all is the slow process that its going to take to make a bigger name.

You didnt he was tough when he fought Brown for 5 rounds with both his hands broken?

I never really questioned his grit and determination. I just always thought he was over hyped and over rated. The biggest named opponents on his record are Tyson Griffin, Pulver (x2), Brown (x2) and now Aldo. And minus the two wins over Pulver the rest are ALL losses. So realistically.. the only big name he's ever beaten is Pulver. Who's completely irrelevant (1-5 in the 145 lbs division).

He looks great against low level to mid level guys. But against top competition he seems to always come up short.

BTW.. here's some pics of Faber's leg (Today):

yeah, good point, but on the other hand, hes beaten who they put in front of him until lately. Hes just too small to go up to 155, but I think he may be able to go down if he wanted to. I think he can still beat anyone at 145 except Aldo; I would also still consider him as a top 10 P4P guy. Aldo is starting to get close to the top 3-4 in that category imo.

Damn... that leg is wrecked.

And Pulver needs to give it up. He hasnt done anything in a long time. I'm sure he is happy that Penn lost his belt.

Yeah the Korean Zombie is no joke, hes a superstar in Korea and really just made a name forhimself here in the US after that fight. He trains with Dong Yung Kiim. I will say that he beat Leonard, but I think Leonard needed the win and they gave it to him knowing the korean zombie would be back for sure.

As for Faber, he looked awesome, as they said he was just outclassed by a much better fighter with superior striking and well if we would have seen it Im sure it would have been superior ground game by Aldo.
