Ordered, I'm in. Wife wanted to go see some bands downtown and is pouting...guess I'll have to just drink more to drown out the whining. :lol

Looking forward to Machida-Shogun,not been this excited before a fight since GSP-BJ Penn 2.

I think Machida will come in prepared for Shogun`s killer kicks and will probably take it to the ground.

Shogun/Machida - Honestly.. I think it could go either way. So iunno.

Daley/Koscheck - I see it going like Koscheck/Anthony Johnson and Daley/Shields. Kos will take the fight immediately down and sub Daley. Then again.. he could try to be macho and slug with Daley. I'm gonna pick Koscheck though.

Kimbo/Mitrone - Mitrone hits hard. Then again so does Houston Alexander. Kimbo had no problem there. So I'll say Kimbo.

Cote/Belcher - I have a feeling Belcher is gonna spoil Cote's return.

Stout/Stephans - I say Stout.

Just watched the weigh-ins.What i hate about the fans is how easy they hate someone for things the fighters have nothing to do with,Machida went in there in the first fight and did his job,yes imo Shogun won but blame it on the judges, don`t hate Machida for it!

Some fans give into the hype of things and take it personally.

Fans are fickle and most attach themselves to whoever is on top at the moment. When a guy is winning he's the best. When he loses.. he's a bum. Same reason so many nut huggers worship Fedor. Once Fedor loses watch how many of those "real" fans jump ship and say he's always been garbage.

That's why I don't bother with all that. I just watch fights and enjoy them for what they are. I try to avoid all the soap opera/man loving most fans seem to relish.

That is what happened to Chuck. When he was winning, the fans loved him. As soon as he started losing, people called him a bum.

nah i don`t think that`s the case.People are,and always have been behind Wanderlei,Franklin,GSP,Chuck Liddell,Randy Couture,Dan Henderson,win or loss,fans have always loved them.

Michael Bisping for example,he is an ass and i never liked him but most people hated him because of all the easy fights he got, just to hype him up,not his fault...He is just accepting the challenges UFC is offering him.

Machida fought his toughest fight of his career and went out with broken ribs and beaten up like he has never been before, and fans hate him for it because the judges gave him the decision...unbelievable.

Specifically for Machida, I saw a BUNCH of people calling him boring before his fight with Thiago. Once he KO'ed Thiago AND Rashad suddenly these same people were all over his nuts. Then, after the razor thin decision vs. Shogun, now they hate him again. :lol

And I've seen the same thing with all your other examples too:

Wanderlei - After Rampage KO'ed him people saying he's washed up, that he should retire and that he hasn't been the same since Cro Cop or Hendo KO'ed him.

Franklin - Same after the losses to A.Silva.

GSP - He was great until he lost to Serra. Then people said he was overrated and now anyone he beats people complain that he's afraid to stand up and strike.

Chuck Liddell - Like daikkenaurora said.

Randy Couture - He was great after he beat Sylvia and Gonzaga. But once Brock beat him and his fight with Vera and Nog.. now people think he's washed up and should retire.

Dan Henderson - Same. He's washed up, that he should retire and that he hasn't been the same since PRIDE.

Fake fans jump on and off bandwagon's all the time.

I agree with this.............and you always know what happens to those guys who cant keep the mouth shut. Daley is a lot like Hardy, so I would rather GSP not fight Daley cause we know Daley would just constantly run his mouth saying hes hungrier, hits harder, blah blah blah, then GSP takes him down and dominates him. When you fight a guy who you desperately want to beat, its always best to go after his biggest weakness, and for Daley, its obviously his ground game. As for Kimbo, the dude works so hard, I wouldnt be suprised if he takes Meathead to the ground and gets the decision again; i just hope he has better conditioning for this fight. B/w IM2 ealrier and these fights tonight, I dont know which I will be more exciting to see :panic:
