Well thats the problem. I wanna see the best fighters not popular guys who bring fans in. Thats why GSP v Penn is a great fight. Two great fighters. UFC 92 Wandy v Rampage, Nog v Mir, Forrest v Rashad. All competitive fights.
The UFC has to build there fighters up, and make them popular. And good fights do that. Forrest v Bonner was a big hit, good fight and made the UFC more popular. I just feel bad for the fighters who work there butts, win and never got a shot or a decent pay day.
The amount of money paid out for the main event is probably the reason for the weak undercard so they didn't have as much to pay out for everyone else. The next PPV has three main event level fights on it and it will be interesting to see what the payout is for those fights. I can guarantee that all those guys in the fights you listed aren't going to be hurting after they cash their checks. Will they make as much as Lesnar or Couture, probably not but they will all get good paydays.
So you don't think the main eventers in title fights should get paid more than a good fighter on the undercard? Those fights are the ones used to sell the PPV and generate revenue to allow everyone to get paid. You can disagree with it but Lesnar got a sweet deal to come in because the UFC felt he could be a big draw and bring in some of the wrestling crowd. It is working, they are cutting into the wrestling PPV numbers. It isn't like Lesnar is on the same skill level as Kimbo Slice as you were drawing that similarity. Also, he had a built in name value where other guys don't until they fight and create a fan base.
Nice thing is most of the salaries for the UFC are easy to find with a quick Google search(at least for cards in Vegas, some states don't require them to be made public).
A lot of the fighters that have name recognition and have fights high on the cards can still make pretty good coin for their fights and that is without any win bonus or any addition bonuses plus their sponsorships, etc. I guess it depends on what you call a good payday.
