Strikeforce L.A. Spoilers

KJ Noons vs. Conor Heun
Noons wins by Split Decision - Sloppy ass fight. Heun took the fight on 2 weeks notice though. Noons on the other hand just looked out of shape.

Tim Kennedy vs. Trevor Prangley
Kennedy wins by Sub (RNC) Rd. 1 - Got the choke while Prangley was on his feet trying to shake Kennedy off!

Marius Zaromskis vs. Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos
Cyborg wins by TKO Rd. 1 - Good fight! Lot of back and forth striking then Zaromski got hurt with a head kick and his stupid ass decided to rush in with a weak flying knee ala Arlovski and MISSED and when he landed Cyborg dropped him and finished with a few shots. Cyborg looks good at 170 lbs. Faster and more energized than he did at MW.

Not sure why, but this show is using bland, generic techno music for EVERYTHING! :lol

Tim Kennedy won, that's all I care about tonight.

He's an awesome guy with a decent resume. I would love to see him in the UFC. TUF would be a great way to bring him in.

"..dropped him like names at a Hollywood party.."....I'll bet he's been waiting to use that line all night. :slap :lol

I'm watching the TUF season recap. I missed the first half of the season or so... I didn't see Rich Attonito power bomb Casey Uscola.:horror What a slam. Now I'm looking forward to Rich vs Yager.

Robbie Lawler vs. Renato "Babalu" Sobral
Babalu wins by Decision

Pretty good event. Nothing spectacular or memorable but good for a free card. Lawler vs. Babalu is hands down the stupidest match-making Strikeforce has ever done though. And that's saying a lot considering past matches they've made. They put a MW into a catchweight fight with a LHW and the winner.. wait for it.. gets a title shot in their normal weight class. WTF!? :slap

That makes as much sense as a guy losing his last fight getting a title shot.

Yeah i think Strikeforce just doesnt have enough fighters to carry any real competition with any of the other organizations or themselves for that matter which is why this kind of stuff is happening. Basically just the same guys fighting each other over and over...makes for not very exciting fights. Still fun to watch regardless. I was impressed by Noons striking though, he definetly brough his boxing to the cage. Thought it was cool to see that.

I actually really like Mauro Ranello...I dont know how to spell his name, but hes pretty good to me. I dont mind him as a commentator, hes pretty educated on the sport and hes been around for a while from Pride and a few other events.
