Guess Sonnen trained with Barnett. :monkey3

**UPDATE**

So much for innocence. :slap

Also.. you guys heard about Efrain Escudero? He got his walking papers. First TUF winner to ever be cut to my knowledge. Crazy.

Same thing I was thinking, I was blown away when I read that. He got beat, and had problems making weight...

I wanna say he has a chance but as of late, he seems REALLY hesitant and gun shy to fire off his bread-and-butter LHK.

Bottom line: If he can't beat Frank Mir he needs to retire.

It's been sad watching Cro Cop come out these last few fights because we're never sure which fight might be his last. I hope he wins this fight I just this he's getting old to the point of not being able to pull the trigger like he used. No matter what happens Cro Cop will always be a legend.

not sure why you guys are surprised at escuerdo. he wasnt even that good.

He was a good prospect and his only losses since winning his season of TUF were against two other good prospects (Oliveira and Dunham).

Compare that to Mac Danzig who went 1-3 after winning his season of TUF or Kendall Grove who had the exact same record as Escudero after winning his season of TUF (2-2). Yet both those guys are still employed by the UFC.

As for Crocop, I really dont think this is his fight. After watching the countdown last night I expect Frank to pretty much push him around the cage. Frank says he wasnts to come in at 250 and well again I just dont see Mirko bringing much to the table that Frank hasnt probably seen.

i think he will be back eventually.

If this is true, I feel sorry for Belfort. :lol

Word is, Vitor is out of UFC 122 (vs. Okami) with yet ANOTHER injury and that Nate Marquardt will be stepping in as his replacement.

Yeah man I cant understand Vitor always getting hurt. I love that dude, but damn he must seriously overtrain and not to mention he probably has pre-existing injuries that plague him from time to time.
I was so looking foward to seeing him fight again, I like Nate, but damn Id rather watch Vitor.

Vitor Belfort isn't injured. And, in fact, he's expected to meet UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva early next year, possibly in the headliner of a UFC 125 event on Jan. 1 in Las Vegas.

Yeah ive been reading some interesting stories about this whole Vitor situation now that Chael used "vitamins" lol. I just opens the gates for other middles now that Chaels out of the rematch

Leben vs. Brian Stann at Fight Night on NYE.

...

Joe Silva must be smoking some good crack. Fight makes ZERO sense for Leben. Nothing to gain everything to lose.

It's already well known that Leben is one of UFC's "go to guys" when they need a favor. Same thing that they used Couture for back in the day. Im sure it will pay off for Leben eventually, the same way that it did for Couture.

On a side note, i like Sonnen but im stoked that Vitor may be getting the title shot in his place! :rock

Yeah that's the latest conspiracy going around that the injury is fake and was set up by the UFC to replace Sonnen with Vitor for the NYE card. It's possible.. of course. But Vitor DOES have existing injuries.. so who knows.

What I heard is Vitor vs. Anderson might take place in February. So iunno..

It's already officially announced. Vitor will fight Silva and no he's not injured.
