Yeah I cant even remember the last Strikeforce event, but I gotta say it was better than the TUF Finale. Now this weekends card is going to be different, should be some awesome fights for the UFC.
I cant wait for Bellator to start back up either.

well anytime you have Stephan Bonnar in there as your co main event, what were you really expecting? The UFC is really deep now, they shouldnt have Bonnar as a ____ co main. At least next weekend should be a little better, but I'm only interested in like 3 of the fights then. I'm picking GSP by armbar

He did in the 2nd round, although weak, but for all but about 30 seconds total in the 3rd he just basically held him down. Not saying he didn't win, just said it was boring to me and I like ground battles. Probably would have been a lot better fight if Johnson had any ground game or if Brookins would have tried submissions or if he could ground and pound better.

Agreed. I'm not sure who really watches Stephan Bonnar anymore, but as to my Dana keeps him around is obviously because they're buddies. I pick GSP too, but if Kos wins I'm running out the back door of the building without making eye contact with anyone.

I think GSP is going to win, but it wouldnt surprise me if Josh won, hes got the tools to do it in my opinion. Like I said before I like GSP, but theres a part of me that wants Josh to win just to change things up a bit.

Definitely. I always like to cheer for the underdog, and Kos is definitely the underdog going into this fight. A lot of people say if he wins it's because he gets a lucky punch or something. This always makes me laugh because I'm like "How would that be luck? They train to knock and/or choke people out."

totally agree man. Josh has come along way with his striking and if he lands and KO's George...well thats not luck as you said those were his intentions.

If the rumors are true and they get on FX and start showing live events Bellator is going to blow up in 2011. We'll see.

No I agree, the 3rd round was weak. Brookins has along still to go. I look forward to him progressing.

That would be awesome. More Coverage, probably get more money etc. I hope it works out for them.

The UFC signed Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto and re-signed Michihiro Omigawa for their new FW division (WEC Merger). They've been trying to get Kid forever, and Omigawa was signed before but in the UFC LW division (where he was too small and went 0-2).

Is it confirmed, I only heard rumors about Kid being signed. Kids one of those dudes...he could lose 20 times and Im still a fan. Hes explosive and exciting. An awesome fighter, if it is confirmed I'll be looking forward to his debut.

*edit - I seen it for my own eyes. Kid is in the UFC, very cool.

Yeah it's confirmed (as you've already seen with your edit) but I was wrong about the division. He'll be fighting in the Bantamweight division (135 lbs) not at FW like I previously said. Demetrious Johnson is the name that's being thrown out as a possible first opponent for Kid at UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort (Feb 5, 2011).

2010 K-1 WORLD GRAND PRIX SPOILERS

Overeem is one fight away from winning the 2010 K-1 World Grand Prix. He's fighting Aerts in a few minutes (who upset the reigning champ Semmy Schilt by UD).

Overeem looks fresh going into the finals. He won his first fight against Tyrone Spong by UD and his second fight just now by 2nd round TKO (I think he broke Gökhan Saki's right arm with a kick!?).

Aerts on the other hand looks battered. He beat Mighty Mo by 1st round KO but his second fight was a 3 round war with Schilt. He's already cut up and just looks exhausted.

So we'll see. Should be a good fight.

OVEREEM WINS - TKO Rd.1 in less than a minute.

Aerts actually tried to give up at the end but the ref didn't step in so Overeem continued to clock him until he dropped.
