The word for today kids is CLINIC.

I think GSP could have finished Kos if he would have combined punches more.

Hey the judges got something right. lol

Some are going to complain and say "Oh, GSP didnt do anything but throw jabs... but what I saw was Kos getting beat the ____ up for 5 rounds.

nah, only ******* will say that.
george totally outclassed kos in all aspects...octagon control, strikes, clinch against cage, takedowns etc etc.

I saw the same exact thing. Wasn't even remotely close and that's crazy to say considering..

Kos is a top 5 WW. It's not like he's a can, yet he was still dominated like one. lol.

And the funny thing is... Kos' gameplan was to keep it standing. lol :slap It just goes to show GSP is the real deal.

koschecks eye got ____ED lol!
i almost had a heart attack watching the fight though...
i kept expecting one of kos's overhands to connect...gladly it didnt

Yeah Kos was swinging and gladly none connecting enough to cause problems. And Koscheck's eye is horrible and I know his left leg must be hurting like hell. Cant wait for the post-conference.

The card looked like it was going to suck but the fight outcomes werent bad. I think Dana must have told those guys something before their fights.

Yeah I was like "WTF!?" when he said that.

"My gameplan was to keep it standing until I could take him down."

So doesn't that mean you DIDN'T want to keep it standing!?

:dunno

I think the fighters can see the handwriting on the wall: with the WEC merger there's less room for fighters so one half-assed performance can get you a pink slip e.g. Gerald Harris.

That is a bit harsh but the UFC can only have so many fighters. Which means organizations like Strikeforce can get decent fighters... which is unfortunate since Scott Coker the Hutt is a sleazeball.

You think Joe Stevenson will get cut? 2 losses then 2 wins then 2 losses... nice pattern.

What ever happened to Kimbo Slice? Probably working at Subway.

:lecture No kidding. I'd really like to know the fight stats for punches landed because GSP threw about 500 of them, and Koscheck couldn't have landed more than 5 or 6.

Yeah its not surpising that it was a one sided fight... I just wish Josh would have showed more...I should rather word it this way...I wish Josh was able to show more, George just proved why hes Champ. Overall it was a good night of fights.

I loved the Thiago fight and the Mac fight, really awesome stuff.

i didnt know Harris got canned, thats BS. Hes a really good fighter and he only lost one fight to a relatively unknown guy in the States whos a great fighter in his own right. Good card tonight though, but i thought either the Alves or Miller fight should have been the co main. Very suprised how good Kos was at stuffing GSP's takedowns though, prolly the best at it i've seen for one of his opponents, but i will sleep good tonight.

the more intriguing discussion would be who is the best P4P fighter. I know Silva finishes more of his fights, but i feel that GSP has had tougher and more dangerous oppenents than Silva, and someone correct me if im wrong, but i dont think GSP has lost a round since losing to Serra.........thats a lot of rounds. So now i got GSP has the best in the world. Aldo isnt quite in the discussion until he reels off quite a bit more victories imo.

Indeed. After eating some of those jabs Koscheck just looked really scared of George the rest of the fight.

The Thiago fight was fight of the night IMO. Those guys had one heck of a battle, and were true sportsman when it was all over.

He lost the 1st round vs. Koscheck in their first fight (on 2 judges scorecards). So officially, GSP has won 30 straight rounds since that point.

Yeah I couldnt believe it when I heard about him getting canned.

Not only did Kos stuff takedowns but he got back up VERY easily. You can tell he has been working on that.

I do believe that GSP has fought tougher guys than Silva and has made them look like amateurs. I think it would be safe to say that he is P4P the best MMA fighter right now or atleast at WW.

I'd be scared to if my eye was closing up.

Which fight won Fight of the Night?

Damn the Cmap looked great last night, I think at almost any point after the 3rd GSP could have finished but I think he enjoyed just bashing Kos aropund too much.

overall what I thought was a weak card had some very good fights.

Thats probably what it was because there was a few times were Koscheck was wobbling.

Just goes to show that great names dont make great fights. Glad it was good.

stags called it........:wave

Thank you :clap

Post Press conference was pretty much all GSP. :lol

I agree, i think once Josh started eating those jabs he became hesitant and you could see it was throwing his whole game plan off on top of his closing eye. By round 4 I dont see why he just didnt go balls out and just go for something. He wasnt going to win a decision at that point so I was just thinking he should get crazy and try something, but yeah by that point Josh was done. He was just surviving for the decision.

Yep same here man, that fight was epic man. Thiagos striking was just making me go crazy. Both put it on the line and were staying in the pocket and exchanging. That was a great fight.

Exactly. After that fight both of those guys just won me as a fan. I was never a Thiago follower, but I can't think of a fight that he didn't put on a good show.
