I think JDS will do just fine against Carwin, I like Carwin more than I like Brock, but I still like JDS more than either of them so Im gonna go with Junior for the win.

I'm gonna go with JDS as well. Wouldn't be surprised if Carwin won though.

Jon Olav Einemo (Carwin's original opponent) is supposed to fight Dave "Pee Wee" Herman now.

So the main card for UFC 131 is looking like this:

JDS vs. Carwin
Kenny Florian vs. Diego Nunes (@ FW)
Demian Maia vs. Mark Munoz
Mac Danzig vs. Cowboy Cerrone

I agree, id put money on Junior to win it, but I do think Shane definetly has a chance of winning. As you said it wouldnt surprise me if he did pull it off.

If JDS vs Carwin goes past the first round, it's definitely Junior's match. I'd be worried about Carwin's 1st round explosions with his KO power though.

I remember reading an interview YEARS ago on Carwin's training partners before he was in the UFC. They would make comments on his punching power saying that even when he missed, and connected on their shoulder or arm or chest, they would still be in an immense amount of pain.

JDS has power too, but Carwin has wrecking balls for fists.

Anyone watch Bellator last night, Hector lombard got an awesome KO. The fight was a little slow at first, but ended with a great KO.

Hector Lombard, Ben Askren and Eddie Alvarez are all stuck in a talentless wasteland fighting in Bellator. Sad but true.

All of the consensus top 10 fighters and even fringe top 10 fighters for MW/WW/LW are in the UFC and Strikeforce.

And with championship clauses that make the UFC look tame by comparison those guys are only gonna get out of their Bellator contracts by losing. Which will obviously derail any chance of them getting a better offer from the UFC/SF.

I dont care who they fight, as long as there fighting and I'll keep watching. Oh well Ben Askren and Joe Warren can sit next to Chael Sonnen and lay on each other.

Yea I would too. Many of the fighters have never fought in Brazil and the few that did fought only on the local circuit.

Shogun vs Forrest Griffin is also rumored to be on the card. Belfort and Wanderlei also expressed interest. This card is going to be stacked from top to bottom.

Very nice card. :yess:

Still don't understand why Belfort vs Wanderlei wasnt added to that card. I know Wanderlei signed to fight Leben but two Brazilians going at it with such big names seemed like an easy choice, + the fact that they both asked for this fight. Wanderlei should fight at UFC:RIO he deserves it just as much as Big Nog and Anderson.
