Here's my theory: Nate's pre-fight tests came back positive for some banned weight-loss substance. And that's what got him fired.

It was Nate's decision to drop down to WW, not the UFC's. So I'm sure there was some type of convo between him and them (either with Dana, Lorenzo or Joe Silva) about whether or not the move was even possible since Nate is a big MW. It's not like he's fat or something, the guy's yolked up. So doubt would be understandable. And I'm sure Nate assured them it wouldn't be a problem.

So if he did get popped using something illegal to help with the cut then obviously there WAS a problem with the weight cut since that means he couldn't do it naturally. And with all the promotion and money invested for this main event for him to not get cleared and for their main event to basically fall apart last minute because Nate made promises he couldn't keep, I think that was enough to prompt his termination from the UFC.

Just pure speculation on my part.

I don't either. I'm sure he DID make weight. What I'm saying is, I think he might have used some illegal substance that HELPED him make weight and it was detected during the pre-fight tests.

Yep that makes sense, I mean dude was a huge MW and this drop was never gonna be easy...oh well enjoy strikefarce Nate :lol

NOT CONFIRMED.....but I heard Nate was prego with GSP's dry hump baby and he had 6 weeks to take care of it but...well he didnt.

DISCLAMER:This is total BS but it's funny

All their saying I guess, is that he failed ___ something w/ the Penn. athletic commission. What I don't understand, is why he wanted to make the cut down to WW? MW is a much weaker division imo and it's not like GSP is some bum champ.

Yup... but I think he just wanted to keep it standing so someone could get KO'd.

Well yeah, but its still annoying hearing him say "you need to work" as soon as they start grappling.:gah::gah::gah:
Its MMA. They dont make them grapple if nothing is happening in the stand up.:dunno
Its just REALLY annoying to me. Just let them fight.
