Sonnen doesn't deserve the shot,but that isn't a good enough excuse for Jones to turn him down.UFC wanted the fight to happen.He is the champ and should fight anyone UFC says he will fight.

But then again,fighting Sonnen requires different preperations because he's a pure wrestler,and a damn good one.I do understand what Greg and Bones are thinking,such a short notice and facing two completely different fighters.
I wonder if Jones would change his mind if the fight with Sonnen happend on Sept.22,have plenty of time to prepare.

I don't think Jones is dominant, I know he is b/c I have watched him dominate every top contender they have sent his way (I just believe what I see.) I know everyone here hates Jones so you all make excuses for why he won those fights, but at the end of the day Jones has dominated many elite fighters who have gone there entire careers never being dominated.
I actually have always loved Chael Sonnen. I respect Sonnen's anytime any where attitude, but all it really is is ego checking. Jones is an elite champion who has proven him self by destroying former pillars of the sport with ease, and he did not get this far by acting like every other fighter who lets their ego guide them. Jones is simply making a smart decision here. All of the people on here saying Jones's is a coward show me just how stupid and childish the UFC fan base can be. I feel like the sport is evolving faster than it's fan base.

Ask around or read back a bit and you'll see I'm as(was) a big as jones fan around but no more. He pulled a chicken **** coward move by ducking the fight. Is he a great fighter, yes....but I'll always remember him as the champ who was afraid to fight the 185er.

I will give Silva credit for offering to fight just about any LHW on short notice. I've made clear my feeling on silva before but this was a class act move by him, in which he had a lot to lose but little to gain.

Sweet Lord, you realize how Big Jones is???? He's basically a HW. Jones is a coward. He also turned down a fight with Weidman. Jones did except to fight Shogun, but Shogun turned it down. Jones was scared of an out of shape Chael. So sad. Basically every fighter has laid the smack down on Jones, thats what matters. Not the opinions of Internet trolls and Jone's Ball suckers.
