Hey guys got a shot of Anderson being rushed to the hospital..Wow looks like he's convulsing in pain

Weidman is underrated cause he will never be able to prove his win against Silva the first time was legit. Before that, his best win was against Munoz, who is good, but defn not even a title contender. If Weidman can finally get a solid win against the likes of Vitor, Jacare or Machida, then he will lose that underrated vibe. I'm not jumping on his bandwagon and he is still unproven in my eyes.

Ya know, your posts are starting to get real ****ing annoying. The best fighter ever just went down in a sad, painful way, and all you do is mock him....classy.

azurepred Anderson should've gotten out of the sport while he still had his dignity, aura and belt(like GSP)..He chose instead to to defy Father Time and disrespect Weidman..He got EXACTLY what he deserved

Still unproven after two wins against the "Greatest of All Time"? OK...whatever you say, Sparky :cuckoo:

Yeah its unfortunate that the fight ended the way it did. Chris nicely checked that kick as well as Anderson didnt turn his kick over properly. Its a pretty common break among thai fighters. A break like that will more than likely put him out at least 6 months to a year probably.

I thought Chris was landing some good shots, but I thought Anderson was keeping his composure and just pacing himself.

* I'll add I still think hes still one of the best fighters ever.

If Silva returns. He should move up a weight class to face one or two big names. His title run at middleweight is over so no point going down that road again,he has absolutely nothing more to prove.
A fight against Rashad would be something i would love to see.

I thought Weidman won the first round but you could see composure in Silva. No taunting or games in the first round either by him. Unfortunately the leg break happened sad to see.
Looked like it was going to be a great fight. Weidman is going to be a great fighter just wish this fight had a different outcome.

Lord I'd love to see Cyborg get a fight against Ronda.

Me too, but Cyborg would have to cut some weight. Screw that catch weight crap because it would be all to easy for Rhonda apologists to find an excuse with the weight difference.

~~Does anybody else think that Miller should've gotten submission of the night?

Leonerdis' anger stems from being small in the pants and having no life. Just let him vent. Better here than shooting up the Burger King he makes fries at.

yea but, the biggest fight in his career, and that happens? That is just beyond belief. Silva has had kicks checked for prolly well over a decade and never happened before, it's just fate for him to retire. 2 of the 3 best fighters in the world lost in a month, which were 2 of the biggest draws for the UFC too. Besides Jones and maybe Cain, who else is really marketable for the UFC? Maybe Faber :lol

Weidman (11-0), Pettis, Rousey (7-0), and Aldo just to name a few of the champs. Gustafsson, Belfort, or Roy Nelson are also fan favorites. Easy enough to market their fight cards with contenders like this on deck.

I wouldn't call Weidman or Aldo highly marketable. Weidman doesn't have an exciting fighting style or personality. Barao is 33-1, but most general fans prolly have to be reminded who he is. Aldo has been champ for a long time, but still doesn't have the marketability of say Silva or even Vitor. Pettis is injured all the time, so he rarely even fights. I'll give you Ronda, don't know how I forgot her. Gustafsson and Nelson highly marketable? No way, neither of those guys headlining events is gonna bring in serious cash. All Nelson does is lose these days. Just cause fighters are liked, doesn't make them marketable to casual fans.

Good simple assessment. Silva wasn't playing around but kept himself cool and composed. I also think Weidman won the first round and he had some good shots, especially the one on Silva's temple that downed him.

Weidman also did a good job on the mount and keeping his hands inside and away from Silva. I think they were still feeling each other out and Silva had some good blows that bloodied Weidman.

People underestimate how hard your shins can be and Silva hit Weidman's with way too much power and at that bad angle that just crushed his leg. Sad to see it end that way but that's what happens...
