I wouldn't call Weidman or Aldo highly marketable. Weidman doesn't have an exciting fighting style or personality.

Neither does GSP, and he seemed to sell enough pay per views. Weidman is undefeated and just beat the the GOAT for the second time last night. The next thing he needs to do is be on the cover of the UFC game.

Weidman (11-0), Pettis, Rousey (7-0), and Aldo just to name a few of the champs. Gustafsson, Belfort, or Roy Nelson are also fan favorites. Easy enough to market their fight cards with contenders like this on deck.

None of them draw numbers (PPV or live gates) like Brock (retired) GSP (retired) and Silva (career ending injury!?).

Nice sig Devil!

GSP is a God in Canada and unlike the other guys we mentioned before, GSP is one of the few "nice" guys who draws big numbers wherever he goes. Can't say the same for the others at all.

Cyborg calls out Rousey:

"Ronda, I'm coming to get you."

~~In other news, Cain Velazquez calls out Chris Weidman.

Cyborg is a proven roid user, and if she could cut the weight, I'm not as convinced as most of the others here that she would destroy Ronda. Ronda dominated Tate. I wanna see her fight Cat before a possible Cyborg fight happens.

Don't understand why Cain is calling out a guy 2 divisions below him :dunno. He should be calling out Jones if anything.

Silva Should Had Done That Front Kick Again....

Just Like Steven Segal Taught Him

Edit. I disagree that GSP is unexciting to watch fight.

He was as well rounded as they get.

Dana knows his stars are lacking with Anderson, and GSP gone. He needs guys that can draw. I would not be surprised to see a big match announcement with Brock. I'd still love to see him and Fedor fight. IMO that's the biggest fight that never happened.

I never said they did. :dunno

you said they were marketable. Marketability is all about the cash and being one that everyone wants to see regardless of the market they are fighting in.

unless Brock can all of a sudden take a punch, I don't see how on earth he could make a comeback.

Yes, I'm well aware of what I said. But I didn't say they did or didn't have the highest draw numbers. You're trying to argue something with me that I"m not arguing about. You asked who else can be marketable, which I provided a list of guys that can be, given the opportunity.

Now that GSP and Silva are out of the picture the UFC is gonna have to find new faces to "market." Does that make more sense? They have 2 undefeated champions right now. Rousey being the face of WMMA, and Weidman being the man that beat the GOAT 2x without losing a single round to him.

It does for me. :lol

And it's routine, they've done it before (before Silva, GSP and Brock) so they'll just have to do it again.

*EDIT

Rousey's defending her title at UFC 170 in February vs. Sara McMann. Co-main event is Cormier vs. Evans.

I ordered UFC 168, but it may be along time before I order another. The Big names are just about gone. I'd still pay for Brock though.

Do what i do. I go outside a bar with tvs all over and just watch from there. No cover fees and i just bring my own alkie.

People still pay for these?

Over saturated with PPVs and the cards on average are so incredibly watered down now.

That's what UK streaming websites are for.

I would never pay for a ppv, but in hindsight of 168 that is one I would have thought was worth it.

Yeah I don't see why they can't push some new blood as their faces. I forgot to mention Carlos Condit. If he can win the belt I'd think he'd make a good replacement for GSP.

Lol...I typically avoid going out to the bars that have the fights. The crowds that are present reek with jersey shore attitudes combined with the alcohol typically makes for an unpleasant experience when someone decides they're an ultimate fighter.
