I don't think it's defective. The marking is suppose to have a "weathered look". Personally, I prefer a clean look.

I hope they make him look like the other Ultron statue minus the cape. But, with the reveal of the sentinels from X-Men Days of Future Past, I have lost a little faith.

But if anyone will do it, it's Disney and marvel.
