I think it looks awesome, I'm definitely getting the EX because I like the rifle for this pose.
The base doesn't bother me, it's pretty simple but it's sand like in 3 and the wall is such a classic feature of all the games I think it's great.

I knew it! The reveal was today! Damn it looks nice a bit disappointed with the lack of what could've been an outstanding base but on the brighter side it will fit next to Laura. I think this will be my first order this year. I didn't even make it out of Jan without ordering anything.

Because what we thought was a partial of the base was indeed the whole of the base. So this reveal revealed nothing! I was hoping for a gun or two leaning against the wall (even if they are on the backside of the wall) and a couple of grenades on top. And/Or one of those damn treasures out of 100 that we had to find, half buried in the sand. Or a helmet from the heavy that you have to shoot of before melee. Or shell casings, empty clips. Or a hand from the buried dude that he pulled that Kal7 from. Just something to add texture and interest, and a nod to the game. Is that unreasonable?

i wish it was based off a art rather than the game itself,lara was based on Adam Hughes art , right,?
Somehow ,there isnt that soul in the portrait,like lara Croft. .

I wouldn't say bland. It makes sense to me that it is based on the video game style. With all those cut-scenes and all, this is how we have come to know Nathan Drake.

i mean i wished it looked like how it was on the game covers, rather than a 3d rendered cut scene from the game,

i like this angle , its the one from behind, where his face profile looks like a 3d model which bothers me more

And its priced at $350 !?
Sideshow have pretty much finished with $350. I had assumed this would be $400 like the Halo statue.

I mean I guess you could argue that you'd be willing to pay $400 for a bigger base with a few accessories scattered around ...but what you're getting here is one of the best PF's ever at a great price in this 2013 market.

EDIT: Also the exclusive is awesome.
