Speaking of "House of the Devil," they made this movie look like a 70's witchcraft movie. I did enjoy watching it a bit up until the end. :( Nevertheless, I was just glad to not see humor in that flick at all. Most horror movies these days are funnier than scarier. lol

totally agree, most have rocking soundtracks that usually kill any kind of mood or atmosphere. I always prefer ambient noise or nothing at all.

:lecture:lecture:lecture Just because it's a thrashcore or deathmetal band called Disemboweled doesn't mean it belongs on the soundtrack to a horror movie. The only cookiemonster growling in the background I wanna hear is that from the antagonist. Just goes to show the film industry's further detachment from their audience.

Got House By The Cemetary this weekend and watched it yesterday.

....I still don't know how I feel about it. Kinda weak imo but I don't hate it.

I remember hearing talk about Possession and have a buddy that's bugging me to see it. Just read a review on it that was basically, "hot actress boinks octopus to piss off jealous husband." And am kinda dissuaded. Was it any good? :lol

Fango just discussed Possession in the last issue. I haven't seen it myself, but I am not rushing out and looking or it either. Fango says she is "raped" by the octopus thing, if I remember correctly.

That was the review I read and she isn't. They said it's sole purpose of existence is to satiate her incessant sexual desires. So if anything, she's raping it. :lol

Is this Possession a recent movie? It doesnt sound familiar to me at all.

And yet, ironically, the ending definitely seemed very much so, like a Stephen King ending.

Got to disagree about it being "like a Stephen King ending." King, in general, writes an interesting story but sometimes I get the feeling he has no real idea on how to end things. The ending in the Mist was great and I wasn't expecting much from the movie based on my reading of the book.

Speaking of which, I'm going to see The Evil Dead: The Musical Saturday at 8pm. I couldn't believe that it came to my state. I live the most boring place in the world :lol Pretty friggin' psyched about going.

ahh man that actually sounds pretty damn cool to be able to see the musical.

Yeah, I bought the soundtrack a year or so ago and loved it. And it's happening so close to my house that it's in walking distance. Awesome. $20 for a ticket ain't bad. I just hope they sell shirts or posters or pictures or something. I want a memento.

Saw that at the Campbell theatre when it hit here. Planning on hitting it up again in San Jose when it returns. It's an awesome show. :rock:rock:rock

:rock Sweet man. I'm glad I won't get let down.

Is there any blood splatter or anything that goes on during the show? Just curious to if I'm going to get hit with blood :lol
