Underrated Horror Films?

Hmm...only movie I know with giant rats was Food of the gods, but they didnt have wings.

maybe it wasnt about rat movie but i do remember a giant rat with wings on it near the end.

narrowing it down to "of unknown origin", "nightmares", and "deadly eyes"...i'll go check them out asap.

*i remember graveyard rats from trilogy of terror 2, wrong coffin exit and rat food ending.haha

Maybe nam can help me with the one that's been bugging me for a few years now. Some crappy low budget horror flick from the mid 80's where a bunch of your usual teenage campers are out in the woods, and they are being stalked by something...

Only discerning part I can remember is them setting up a "booby trap" with a giant log studded with spikes, which would swing down and supposedly impale whatever was after them.

Help!

Try "Taxidermia"... It is a Hungarian film streaming on Netflix. While not technically a Horror film the last 1/3 of the film is truly horrific. The film is visually stunning and like nothing I've seen before. Very strange and different.

That was a very strange yet entertaining movie. Good suggestion!

taxidermia is available in youtube too, whole 1:30 length. no subtitles though.

I wouldn't call Re-Animator underrated. I figure that's a solid and respected a horror cult classic.

Hmm...I like Re-animator and do agree that its a cult classic, but I almost think its overrated in my opinion.

The thing with kurt russel directed by john carpenter. AWESOME MOVIE special effects by Rob Botin. The prequel comes out this october by universal pictures and I'm counting the days.
