But I just had a thought. If they do and international on UC, and change the patient gown he's wearing, that might entice me to search for one. I don't favor the dotted gown UC has on.

Honestly, I was disappointed. They could've dyed the shirts or pants another color or painted the wrist band another color and it would've been cool. Unfortunately, I think too late in the game they realized they could milk EU collectors for another 125 so did the easiest way possible. Sad thing is, you can swap bases on the figs and nobody would know the wiser without lifting it up.

I really meant it when I said I was pleasantly surprised, the sellout time was over 12 mins; I thought (and said as much in the thread) that it would be as high as 750 or so.

Too high, but that's alright. I bought this one because I was really creeped out by the look of UC, not to flip (since my motto is, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em).

Plus, there are always some number of cancellations with PF pre-orders, so the exclusive may very well show up on second chance.

No, this just means enough people ordered the UC Ex to justify the edition size. When many cancel and it does go on Second Chance, Sideshow will review the numbers and adjust the edition size back down for the next one... just as they do for most of the lines. The problem comes when collectors quit buying the lines and the downward adjusted edition sizes still leave too many sitting on the shelves.

I know what you are saying Lonnie, but I can't help but think that some of the people who ordered the EX did so in anticipation of it being a lower ES. And I also wonder how many people are really ordering the regular. My guess is that there aren't many. I just don't see this as being a positive thing for the line moving forward.

Oh I didn't say it was a positive thing... just how it works... and one of the reasons lines tend to die...

There is no guarantee that the Regular edition size will be higher than the Exclusive... it has happened in the past that the reg was the same or lower than the exc...

Still, 400 + 400 is probably still too many for UC, but that's just my opinion. I don't care personally that there are 400 exclusives, aside from the fact that I want to get the best deal when I purchase him. If he goes gift card down the line, I could save at least $50, not to mention possibly scoring him for less on ebay.

It would be amusing if the final edition size for the regular was less than the exclusive. Has that ever happened Lonnie?
