unnumbered Cap PF exclusive

Hi, I am new to the boards. Long time comic book collector and recently made the jump to figurines. I have started collecting with Sideshow PF figures.

I recently bought a Captain America Exclusive premium format figure. Did not check the number on the box or statue until several days after I brought it home. Well I realized the box and the figure do not have numbers assigned.

The box is tagged "blank"/875 and the base of the figure only has a slash with no numbers on either side. I have placed a call to Sideshow and am awaiting a response. Most likely they forgot to assign or write a number, but just wondering what the more seasoned collectors think.

yep, either a AP or even a Marvel Sample.
as long as the box is matching and labeled unnumbered then i would keep it as a unnumbered sample piece.

Sounds like a Sample or AP to me as well. Congrats!!! And welcome aboard! The Captain Ex. PF is arguably my favorite Marvel PF piece.

i thought Artist Proofs stated on the bottom that its an AP?
greatwall has a pic of his dr.doom PF with an AP stamp where the numbers would be.

Yeah this is most likely a marvel sample that was sold into circulation.

I don't think it being a sample piece devalues the PF.
