I grew up watching Bruce Lee... My dad grew up watching Bruce Lee... This is major....I wasn't that interested in the GOD EnterBay one because of the price... but this is medicom!!! I'm medicom's favorite son!! My dad would use to sneak out at night just to get a peak in the theatres of the movies.... This is amazing!!

This looks like Enterbay has Medicom re-thinking things. I've only picked up a few Medicom figures recently after getting burned by them years ago. Their first 12-inch Bruce Lee was pictured in ToyFare or Lee's. It was a stunning photograph. I wish I had a copy of it to show you. Incredible likeness. It got me interested in 1:6 scale. I found a dealer and ordered it.

Then the figure arrived, and this is what it looked like:

medibruce.jpg

I eventually sold it on eBay. I never opened it.

This new one will of course have that dawggone Medi-neck cut, but it looks pretty good, IMHO on a par with the TAO 2003 Enter the Dragon figure. A tie for third place behind the Enterbay figure in second.

Blue Ribbon to my Arnie original.

Thanks for the heads-up.
That's the one I got for $30. Not a bad figure at that price.

actualy, that one repainted looks rather decent.

but how much did these go for retail originally?
I'm really gonna think on buying like 3 of these new medicom ones, since theyre pretty affordable, and yet, they seem to be the same price as enterbay since I suspect Enterbay values the diorama as around $150

EDIT:
atually, relooking the prices.
the wolverin X3 is $150 on medicom's site, but its only $95 in other retail stores, so I guess we could expect the same for this figure as well.
WEEEEEEEEEEEE
I'm happy :D

I just rEAAAAAAALLY hope the prototype isn't so "inflated" in appearance haha

Lee and the Phantom look pretty good. If they can be had for 100 I'd add them to my collection.

We actually get Wolverine for $85 from other online retailer store, so I am even more excited for this Medicom Bruce Lee for this price. Well....but it will happen only if Sideshow import it.

If memory serves they were around $89...back when Sideshow Frankenstein was $24.99 -- $89 seemed like a fortune back then. Think I managed to sell it for $70, back before I thought about repaints. And I've thought since then about how it might look repainted. It had a cool collection of hands.

I had an extensive 1:6 Bruce Lee collection, but now there are only three. This new Medicom will make four. I sold off the Asian and US PlayAlong figs, which had different headsculpts, the aforementioned Medicom, a 1:6 Medicom GOD PVC statue, and one of the Eric So "Fashion Show" Bruce Lee figs from Medicom. The likenesses were all disappointing.

Sideshow figure crack. The first one's $24.99...the next one's $29.99...then it's, well, the Star Wars figs are gonna be $60...say, have you seen our PF line? :rotfl

yup wolvie is that price cause SS is involved.
for lee to be 85$ SS would have to import it.

I pray that SST will import this Lee figure... but if not I'm more then willing to pay the $150.
i bet Enterbay's figures will be around that without the diorama, but still!
i must obtain this medicom figure haha

I disagree,..,..i myself can't see anything from medicom toping what sideshow or hot toys did this year,...

I guess you didnt see Medicoms X3 wolverine.

well, I know that those respective companies produced nice figures, I doubt any one of them topped one another...

,..yes,..one more reason to save for the enterbay,.. i want a movie bruce,.. not an everyday lee,.. :lol :rotfl

The Enterbay is the best GOD Bruce Lee figure available for $350.

I think the Medicom is the best Bruce Lee figure available for $150 (probably even less). You can get a GOD suit for about $20 on Ebay easily.

And at $150 - I can repaint the head without hesitation.

But both figures are awesome, though.

I've seen several pictures from that doll before. My question is is it a samurai series of some kind? A drama? Whatever it is it looks great.

Here's a quick summary taken directly from animenewsnetwork.com:

"Genres: Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Psychological, Supernatural
Plot Summary: They are neither plants nor animals. They differ from other forms of life such as the micro-organisms and the fungi. Instead they resemble the primeval body of life and are generally known as "Mushi". Their existence and appearance are unknown to many and only a limited number of humans are aware of them. Ginko is a "Mushi-shi" who travels around to investigate and find out more about the "Mushi". In the process, he also lends a helping hand to people who face problems with supernatural occurances which may be related to the "Mushi".

Def. check it out! It is a great series.

,...ewww,..the enterbay it's much higher quality,..sculpted bruce lee body, not a generic 12" body,... ..and the likeness is muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better and closer to reality,.... the medicom looks cartoonish,...

Have you seen recent pics of the release Enterbay? Not so hot from the user pics.

I'll have to see for myself on Friday, but the final HS is not only lacking in detail, but painted like a GI Joe.

The body sculpt is definitely nice on the EB - nice Lee posture - but the legs are too small and the head a tad too big.

And the wood diorama kicks butt. But not $200 worth of butt. IMHO

The Medicom looks exactly like Enter the Dragon bruce. We'll see if the final version holds up.
