Great to see an update after a while Steve. Did you manage to find a replacement suit for Lex ?

thanks man. Yea it has been awhile since I've worked on something so it's fun to get back at it :) I've got a wave of about 6 figures planned including these two teased here so it'll be a fun next couple of months for sure

I think Depp's Willy Wonka is definitely going to be something special :) We haven't seen a custom of his before (as far as I know) so it's fun to not feel like I have nothing to live up to other than my own standards :lol

As for Lex, I did get a better suit thankfully. He's been a long time coming too. I had a tailor working on it (no one from here, just outsourced one in the states) who after a year and half I gave up on b/c he kept telling me he sent it out at least 3 times and I never received anything. Kept telling me I'd get fabric samples and in progress pics and never got anything. So, from what I can tell, he pretty much just took my deposit money and I guess hoped after a year and a half I'd forget all about it. Luckily since then, some good mass produced suits have come available and I've been able to finally make some head way on Returns Luthor these last 2-3 months. I'm hoping to be done with him for the most part by the end of the week

Sucks that you got burned man. I've seen it rarely pays to be lenient with people these days, give them some leeway and they're out to trample you. :(

Anyway, I remember your initial Luthor bash and you skills have improved manifold since, can't wait to see what you have in store.

Wonka sounds pretty cool. Are you going with the same costume RM went ? And the head ?

Thanks man I appreciate the confidence :)

No, I believe RM made the older Gene Wilder Wonka if I'm not mistaken. Did he make one of Depp as Wonka too? If so, damn! that would've saved me some time :lol

Not sure on sculpt yet, but I do think I'll try rooted hair and he'll for sure have a removable hat

But this is what I'm going for:

Damn. I missed the Depp in your Wonka comment. :lol

:lol Yea I'm trying to build the Depp collection and Wonka (and Mad Hatter) is one that Howard Chan said he had no interest in doing so figured that meant I needed to do my own

That looks great. Love the fitting. That's a dope setup in the back, great poses and so jealous of those arkham figs

Thanks man! :hi5:

Gotta thank Cocoboloboy for that PF shelf. he's making one for the Man of Steel and Comic Superman PFs :yess:

That's my video game shelf. There's some Gears of War 3 and Assassin's Creed hidden behind the Arkham stuff :lol

Insane transformation, can't believe how this turned out considering what you started with. Truly amazing work gipetto.

Re: *RIDDICK Sculpt and Paint*Po.472-Gipetto's Workshop

Word. That's some serious modding, the original looks like a hasbro gi joe. I thought there was already a good vin head out there? Might be wrong

Thank so much for the kind words man! Really appreciate it :hi5:

Thanks bro! :hi5:

And yea a lot of ppl are using the one by Eleven but I just don't see much Vib Diesel in it. Really felt like this sculpt had some potential and it looks badass on the rest if the figure and the goggles on. I'll post pics with my better camera when I'm done with the entire figure :)

Re: *RIDDICK Sculpt and Paint*Po.472-Gipetto's Workshop

That looks great! What exactly did you do to the original head before repainting?

Thanks :duff:

I cut off the neck then filled the head with epoxy as it was hollow and then added in a custom socket so the head could be attached to a muscle body

Perfect! Thanks. Glad to hear it wasn't too involved. :yess: I may go this route for a Riddick figure. :hi5:

Re: *RIDDICK Sculpt and Paint*Po.472-Gipetto's Workshop

Steve here's something that might help, with regard to the headsculpt. Feng had worked on a FF Toretto a while back - The head looks pretty darn close.

That's a really great looking sculpt! Best Vin Diesel sculpt I've seen. Thanks man:hi5:Has that ever been posted here? I feel like I've seen it before. wish that wasn't so expensive.

I'm pretty content with the sculpt I have now though. I've slightly adjusted the paint and toned down the shine so now it looks a lot more smooth and matches with the body better. I'll post pics of the full figure when/if the sun comes out this weekend. it's been rainy lately
