The low quantity alert has been added to the Exc. Utapau Clone. Looks like they are getting ready to cut off the orders. I'm actually shocked it's been up this long. I only wish they could have done this with the Exc. Stormtroopers and Exc. Vader. Even though I got my order in for one of each, it would have saved a lot of people from getting upset over the way those two were handled.

Finally. I'm very curious how well these sold, considering how long people have been itching for them. The reality is now upon us.

The ES should give us an indication how they sold.

If I understood what I read the last week is that several people ordered multiple exclusive versions. I think this possibly led to a high preorders, but will likely lead to lots of cancelations when people reconsider the need for 2. Hope SSC isn't left high and dry on too many orders.

My guess is it will still be in 2,000 range... could be wrong, but we'll see. I'm still pretty sure this figure will cure my exclusive addiction. Its just such a non-interesting addition, would have loved a droid chunk, or piece of a Genosin, but a base is just boring.

Base would be a fine Ex. if it were something like Darth Vader where it was actually an environmental piece and not just an alternate paint scheme. Maybe like a floor pattern like on the Utapau landing platform.

I don't mind the base, but I agree something environmental would have been awesome.

Seems like exclusives recently have been not so interesting or important.

Gandalf is the only recent one I think is a real bonus.

Totally agree, the drod base with Vaderkin makes him worth keeping... but this is not as fun.

Well, they could always have nixed the rifle for the regular and kept that for the exclusive, but that would've given everyone who wants the regular a reason to cry harder than they are about the stand...

You guys know that LFL has to approve EVERYTHING we do right? That includes the helmet - just wanted to make sure that we all know what we're talking about before we talk about how inacurate we are. I guess LFL doesn't know their own stuff either.

LFL has a history of ignoring their own history and revising it and the licensee (SSC) isn't allowed to announce that.

Thank you! I'm pretty sure several of us have said this before saying that no matter what LFL has the final say. I believe the blame falls more on LFL than SS or Medicom.

Ya, like taking a great Andy B. Mace Windu sculpt and making him retool it to a lesser look.

I think the main draw for getting the EX base will be when you get many different troopers from different legions and display them all together with their bases.

Nice that someone from SS stops in to explain why every once and a while. The helmet does bother me, BUT not enough for me to cancel this. I think the shock came more or less from the long wait we endured to get armored characters from SS. Then the image comes out and the helmet isn't "quite right". Too high of expectations never help anything (cough Prequels cough KOTSC). That said I'm still satisfied with it (including prequels and KOTSC) and will keep the exclusive.

I actually like the exclusive base:monkey3

Seriously Lucasfilm wanted it to be NOT accurate? as with the Stormtrooper helmet?

so what's the story here about the helmet? SSC sent an accurate helmet and was giving instructions to change it? or SSC sent in an inaccurate helmet and got approved by LFL anyways?
