Re: Vacation (National Lampoon's Vacation reboot)

Are these reboots so damn successful that it encourages more?

They could easily name the characters something else and they'd avoid the backlash. Surely the name doesn't bring in enough to counter the backlash

Re: Vacation (National Lampoon's Vacation reboot)

the trailer made me laugh

i was happy to see that it is a sequel and not a reboot

it was not as bad as i expected

Re: Vacation (National Lampoon's Vacation reboot)

anything with charlie i ll watch, i notice he will be in the movie so im definitely there

When I first heard about this, I was actually kind of excited about the prospect of the Griswolds getting back together, but it seems like Clark and Ellen are just getting glorified cameos, and, with good reason, apparently. That kind of sucked. I'll still probably watch it, at some point, but, yeah, no; **** Ed Helms and his "I play Stu from The Hangover in every movie I'm in" style of acting.

I'm not going to lie, I did chuckle at some of those bits. But I laugh rather easily. :slap :lol I know it's a running gag that the Children Griswold are played by different actors, but I would've loved to have seen Anthony Michael Hall reprise the role.

I'll always have '83 Vacation and European Vacation. I'll probably give this a watch when it's free.

Well look on the bright side, that trailer prolly showed the entire movie in a nutshell.

The recreation of the scene with the hot girl in the car pretty much sums up this movie for me. In the original it was funny because people could relate to their dad being a little pervy when mom's not looking and it was funny to see that joke carry on for a bit in the film. In this film they go for the immediate laugh of having her get hit by a truck. They're basically telling you that they're going to run you over with bad jokes.
