now that photos of SST's Vader are all over the forum and the figure should be in hand within weeks, i am looking forward to seeing what Hurricane has planned for it...

the way i see it, the potential for customization, whether minimal or full tilt is endless... personally, i would love to see a tiered package offering, starting with the smallest of suggested tweaks...

with saber, and the reach out hand from ESB,

gotta say the SSc looks good, I wont pick holes in it, the purist will know the issues, but on the whole looks great, however, it does spur me to push things further than ever before....watch this space :naughty

This is BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to see what improvements you make as the one I ordered is currently in the queue:D

However, it's hard to imagine what you could do to improve something that is already so amazing!!!

I think I might be interested in fixing the helmet/dome issue, the mask seems pretty much fine to me.
Do you think that would be possible Glenn? Just making a dome to attach to the head?
Just thinking aloud here...

I posted on the Vader thread how the 1/4 scale Vader statue would compare next to the 1/4 scale fig. I couldn't seem to get SSC website up? The helmet might be bigger on the statue. Same scale?

If that would be possible, then the SSC Vader figure would be greatly improved. Glenn, I hope you can find a solution for the dome issue.

I would love to have my dome altered and the lenses be tinted and barely see through with a fine Shaw sculpt underneath.

I may PM Glen soon.

The statue is 1/4, the figure is 1/6 (not 1/4) so the helmet is going to be much bigger on the statue.

I think this is a great idea. Glenn willing of course.

Im looking objectively at your ROTJ vader im enlarging the 'eyes' slightly as ive read that the ROTJ mask had bigger lenses for a 'wide eyed' look to vader to reflect his redemption.....as for the dome issue of the SSc one, yes its too small i feel and wrong profile, id hopefully easily be able to create a new dome thats bigger ,somepeople may look towards the shoulder bells being corrected too...to improve the ones im doing im looking at finding pictures of the actual prop pieces and then creating new parts for each film so instead of a generic belt box covering all 3 OT versions theyll be an ANH, which is smaller and has diferent green lights to the other two OTs,im turning to the chest boxes and seeing what can be made from metal. The metal mouth grills which feature on the top end figures i make will filter down to the 'basics ' now too, so ever one will have metal mesh screens in the mouth and chin vents, im thinking lenses too for the masks and SEB shaw sculpts underneath, tho with one version im sure the lenses in the mask were backed up with a metal mesh to prevent any veiwing of the actor(s) i know ive fitted these to my don post CA .I gotta see what i can pull out of the bag to get these guys better.....

Thought Id show you guys this, this was commisioned by entropy chicken along with an ESB Vader. He has voice function transplanted from the Hasbro Vader/Kenobi 12" electronic set, this was a real pig to fit along with the invertor/9 volt for the saber as for some reason the voice function uses a two tier power source 3/6 volts, dont ask me ask hasbro.EC supplied all parts including the body from SSc SGT Emery, which was very useful offering ,after considerable dremeling, alot of internal space.voice function phrases are
"..you cant win Darth,if you strike me down i will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine..."
"mos eisley space port, you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villiany,we must be cautious..."
".. the force will be with you...always"
"we must get indoors, sand people are easily startled but theyll be back and in greater numbers...."

The saber function is the usual one, cordless saber(no wires from hand to hilt just metal contacts) and in body power (no trailing wires to invertors or mains adapters)
hope you like...
