ok an update, phew,, i been real busy, im in process of sculpting new hands, to go along side the soft sleeved gloved hands, these are, at the moment in resin, the plan was to do them in rubber or vinyl.Firstly i bought some jet black RTV silicone,(£30 GBP for half a kilo :banghead)and vinamold. The plan was to create them in RTv, but im not confident of the longevity of them if casted in this. So im busy trying to melt down, chemically, black vinyl to make them in.If i dont crack this they will still be made but in resin, which isnt what i wanted.Ive had to sculpt 9 different hands in 3 diferent versions, ANH, ESB/ROTJ, and ROTS.
heres a shot of 'holding belt' inspired by a thread on a custom built vader on the Star wars customs section. All unfinished vaders will get these hands
2010_03260008.jpg

currently the poses are,
fists left right
holding belt(left and right)
force choke (right)
pointing (right)
relaxed left
saber grip right
ESB reaching out to luke (bespin)
as im doing these are there any requests for a particular pose?

Just my opinion, but the belt holding hands shouldn't be angled so much and spaced a bit wider, almost as if he's placing his hands on his hips but they're resting on his belt...if that makes any sense :lol

great to hear about the hands.

all positions you picked are great. but i second the angle problem of the belt hands.

can you post pics of the others? (and are thre ESB hands in the work?)

keep up the great work on these.

i hope all vaders come along nicely

have you every thouht about a prowse head for the film fans?
