Interview with the Vampire is the kind of film/book that gave rise to Twilight or True Blood, and when you get to that side of the coin then the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series rules!


I used to like Interview, Bram Stoker's Dracula and Lost Boys, but rewatching them because figures were coming out has seen my opinion change.

I used to like Interview, Bram Stoker's Dracula and Lost Boys, but rewatching them because figures were coming out has seen my opinion change.

"DRACULA" 31 is good, but it only holds up for Lugosi and it starting the Universal Monsters craze, which I would really love SS or another 1:6 company revisit these and pump out some quality figures from this era.

Let the Right One is good, but not one that is very rewatchable in my opinion. And not a film that would lend itself well to figures.

From Dusk Till Dawn while good, it's more tongue in cheek and can't be taken seriously. Still a fun film to watch. It's like Evil Dead 2.

Never considered Omega Man/I am Legend as Vampire movies. (Never read the book).

Not a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer [emoji1]
And I won't even dignify Twilight or True Blood as even being the same league.

Even though I don't love it as much as I used to, I would still rank Interview near the top (even if only for that great score), and Let the Right One in was great as well.

Bram Stoker's just never worked for me at all though, since it was so heavily stylized and art-directed that it distracted from the story and any kind of tension they were going for.

With the limited set, the onlu extra is the black suit
and a body . Is this correct?

Maybe the regular set is sufficient if the DX set
Only get the extra black suit and a body

And for less than $150 a figure, this is a pretty
good deal if you ask me

Just hope the Headsculpt is up to par as the production
Heads I saw in the last few pics on their site look a bit different
with the heads than the prototypes

Interview, Coppolas Dracula, Fright Night (and the underrated sequel, which I love), Lost Boys, Nosferatu and Salem’s Lot are my favourite vampire films, as dated as some of them may be. Honourable mention goes to the BBC tv version of Dracula, as it’s probably the closest adaptation of the novel ever filmed, plus of course the original Lugosi version and Christopher Lee’s first outing as The Count. Glad that i have or will have most of these in 1/6 scale.

I cannot really tolerate the whole handsome and suave vampire thing anymore.

Interview and BS Dracula had its time, but has not aged well....

I would love to see a new take on George Romeros Martin.

Fright Night 2 needs a legit Blu Ray release. Love that one too.

And while not a "vampire movie" more monsters in general, I always loved Duncan Regehr's portrayal as Dracula in "Monster Squad".

Yeah, I feel the same. Somehow, even though Queen of the Damned was... meh!, the actor who played Lestât had the voice, fierceness and swagger I’ve always I,agi de for the part.

Yeah Stuart Townsend felt much closer to me.
I still want a Lestat Netflix show that goes chronologically from his novel to Memnoch the devil.

Apparently there was a TV series in the works at Hulu, but it's in limbo right now after the departure of Bryan Fuller as showrunner (because of course).
