You mean, like, if you put it on your night stand and made her sleep on the couch? :lol

Or carry it into the bathroom with you daily accompanied by a box of Kleenex. :lol

One of the trickiest things about sex in art is the viewer. Making the effort to depict a shamelessly flaunted sexuality, especially with a female subject, is opening the door on something sacred. All it takes is one person to decide that it's (approvingly, or not) porn, and it's tainted. The question is, do you hide it away to protect it, or do you chance the leers because the alternative amounts to a submission to those who see no beauty in unrepentant sex?

I'd rather just display it like/alongside everything else and should someone take offense to it, challenge them on what grounds and the reasoning. More often than not, it's a personal issue that's irrelevant to the collector who sees it as art. Personally, I don't see this as any more or less tasteful than other coms or PFs in skin-tight spandex that often times show more, albeit silhouetted, anyway. :huh

My question was more for Leonidas because he would be ashamed to own it, presumably because it's the kind of statues perv tools would lose their composure over.

My point is that unless you're a perv tool, there's nothing shameful about owning it.

And the PF looks like a sophisticated pin-up for mature adults?

That is correct, sir:monkey1...The com, for me at least, would the equivalent of displaying a blow up doll or a sex toy in front of my wife and friends which I find deeply discourteous.:monkey4 The PF on the other hand conveys a high level of elegance, poise, sophistication and beauty that gives it the allure of a fine piece of art that I'll be proud to display :)

The same argument could be made by someone who objected to the PF's open legs. :dunno

The only reason the comiquette is such a big deal is because it has truly broken new ground in the bare skin department. Sideshow has never done a girl as naked as that. White and Black Queens will look downright prudish next to her.

My reaction would be to think that she's a gay man trapped in a woman's body.

But I don't have a wife. Can you get that out of here now?

:rotfl:rotfl done..Sorry bud, that was meant to illustrate a point. Now you know how a woman probably feels when looking at a statue like the vamp com:lecture

Thank you. (You didn't have to delete the whole post though; now people are going to think me and nam are having one seriously bizarre conversation).

I know what you're getting at, but the fact is that many women would be equally offended by the PF. Perhaps less offended on account of the greater skin coverage, but that's cancelled out by the significantly more suggestive pose. She has her ass planted on a demon skull, and she's spreading. As far as provocation goes, she has the comiquette beat.

Meh, get them both.

Glamorous on M-TH and slutty on Fri.

Mine will be slutty twenty-four seven, three sixty five, cuz;

I love how Sideshow produces a single turd and every newb with a 2010 join date forward starts railing them everywhere despite SSC going public that they are making new replacement heads. :monkey1

That's great of them to do that, but, my confidence in SS will be low until they publicly fire that factory that made those turds.
Granted my Rogue wasn't as bad as some others but I shouldn't have to worry about quality issues every time I put in a preorder with them. This hobby demands a lot of faith from companies as its often not possible to wait for in hand pics before ordering things like exclusives.

I thought I heard that the same factory produced the Vampirella comiquette. Even simple induction from enumeration (which isn't flawless, but it is more accurate than blatant overgeneralization) points to the odds being greater that a piece will turn out well.

However, if people are spooked, I get that.

the key word here Leo, is Pre-painted :lol

Crossing my fingers:horror hoping she's not painted by the same cross eyed 3rd graders who painted Rogue PF :monkey4:horror Keep the faith! This has the potential of becoming a highly sought after Grail piece :clap
