Honestly though, as much as I loved the Spider-Man 2099 Universe, this was one of those designs that I didn't care for. Nonetheless, that's how it came to be, so I'll take it.

I don't. The bodystyling is all wrong for a McFarlane head.

McFarlane never drew veins or overmuscular pieces.

How did you color that in? Just curious about the Photoshop skills

I just created a new layer and then selected the paint brush. Dropped the opacity of the paint brush to about 15% and did it in washes of color. Also, I used the burn tool to darken some areas. It's not perfect, but it gets the point across.

Neither did many other artists. Venom takes on many forms...SO whats the point?

I guess the EX could be a torn spider suit or mask. Something of that nature.

Simple. McFarlane never drew it so a head in that styling with a body full of muscles and veins would look awkward and out of place. The important part of a COH is that both heads look correct with the body and a McFarlane head wouldn't.

A McFarlane or transforming Brock CoH Exclusive is the best way to go. If they do a simple little Spidey mask or something like that, the exclusive becomes less intriguing.
Or a completely different McFarlane Exclusive piece would be sweet!
