So, after just watching the actual full credit scene leak, let the "Discussions" begin about the Venom 1 & 2 movies being part of the MCU... 
Clearly the flash of light means it ties into NWH and Dr Strange brings him into the MCU unknowingly/mistakenly. Which also means for me, that NO, his 2 movies were never part of the MCU. Anything that has happened in his movies, and any characters have NO bearing on the MCU up until that point. He is in a different multiverse. And Venom will most likely only be around temporarily for a "crossover or two". Then he goes bye bye back to Sony's **** Spider-Verse. Just like the Maguire & Garfield characters. Wonder if Holland's Spidey goes there afterwards and that's how Sony gets to use him. Will be interesting to see..
I'm intrigued. It seems plans are very much afoot. I just hope I like this actual movie so that that intrigue isn't immediately squashed - which I know it already is for others who hated the first movie and this portrayal of Venom.

Seems like it was just a coincidence. He claims it wasn't him.

He said he was connected to symbiote from all universes so maybe that’s it

The sm3 one was tho and it died
Venom said it wasn't him. Really odd to "give him a taste" then something happens right at that same instant. Sounds like bad writing and that if I heard it right, there are hives of symbiotes that can share or travel between universes.
So is it that Strange is the one that initiates a fusion of realities to this one? Clearly Eddie/Venom are transported from a crappy motel to a really nice resort. Who knows where this leads to, but Sony sure wants it to lead somewhere.

Ok so spoiler.
The venom in the sm3 universe probably recognizes Tom Holland Spider-Man cause they are connected so he wants revenge. Peter killed that venom in that universe I suppose so that venom instantly recognizes Peter cause he’s linked to the sm3 symbiote .

But Tobey and Holland's Parkers are different looking...
