What can I say? The coolest dudes post here and this is the best thread on the forum. I am still butt-hurt over the price of the Joker and Bats, the English run Bartertown in the Transformers thread, and GI Joe is all quiet.

This is not aimed at you, but the majority of the HT thread posters: the way I figure with Batman and Joker, nut up or shut up.

I don't care what anyone says, the price on the Joker hurts... I'm gonna sell a couple Nolan HT figs to cover it though.

If the figure is too expensive then the people who are going to pass just need to stay out of the thread related to that figure/item/statue... It's simple.

Yep, if you can't pay to play then time to leave. I'm not stoked over current prices on any figures; they're all overpriced. But I likes them and make sure I can fit them in the collection

I like vintage collectibles, but they're so damn expensive! I dunno who these scalpers are charging these jacked up prices, but why do they cost so much?? I guess they think they can keep charging it and we'll keep paying it, but at a certain point they're gonna price themselves out of the market!! China, Obama, bicker bicker, by-pass language filter, photoshop manip, bicker bicker, etc.

Oh no Richard, you can include me. They are awesome, no doubt it's just that I think I am reaching my breaking point with Hot Toys with SSC not too far behind. I love my HT figures but I think I need to step back and be WAY more selective. Plus the fact that some of my favorite figures have literally fallen apart (the Comedian) and that pisses me off.

I was pretty pissed about the Comedian too. I definitely miss that one on the shelf.

As for Bats and Joker I'm not crazy about the prices and for DXs they're pretty ho-hum as far as extras go, particularly Joker. That said they are the Batman and Joker figures I've wanted for 20+ years. Sure I could buy three or four figures for the price of them but I wouldn't appreciate those figures half as much. That's my back asswards fanboy rationale though. At the end of the day if I have to skip Babydoll or some of the Avengers or sell Robocop I will.
