Hey, question for vintage SW collectors. Do you guys generally keep the vinyl capes "up" (like in the above photo), or fold them down a bit?

I think they look better folded down and it doesn't SEEM to cause any damage, but maybe I should make sure it won't cause them to rip or something over time...

I've pretty much left them as they come, but I haven't displayed anything yet, so that could change.

I personally think they look kind of funny with the cape up look, but like Waller I've left them how they came to me. If already folded over I'd leave it, but if up I'd do the same.

I actually clean the capes with a damp cloth and then I put a towel over them and iron them (yes iron) to help flatten them out. You have to be quick about it too so you don't ruin the cape itself. Yes I know them look goofy with the cape up but that's how I remembered them as a kid in catalogues. It's part of the vintage charm for me, but I totally get why people fold them down.

I used to fold them down as a kid. But I leave them up now.

Thought I'd finally show off my Kenner SW display.

For now, I'm only displaying the original ones from the first movie, plus a few other key figures. Gonna keep the rest in baggies for a while, until I can figure out a nice way to display (basically, I need new shelves - plus I need a couple pieces for my Jabba).
