Thanks for all the definition guys. I collect SW, Alien and dabble in Planet of the Apes so I figure 1985 should be my cut off.

On a side note, I need the "12-inch" jawa and tusken so badly!

i don't think a tusken raider was part of the 12" vintage line.

Re: Some Vintage Kenner Love

I'll move it on over to the vintage thread :duff

And great scores, I love the 12" line. Every so often I tinker around with collecting them but for now am content just having Vader.QUOTE]
Thanks for moving the thread! Excellent Vader. You know its funny because in 1978-79 when the 12 inch figures came out, I had all but Obi Wan, Jawa, and IG-88. In 1986 my mom gave all of them away, including my Steve Austin figures (Maskatron, 3 versions of Steve Austin).

So only a few weeks ago did I decide to re-acquire specific toys that I had growing up, that I had full intention of keeping even at that time. So Celebration was a true blessing allowing me to aquire most of what was lost, and what I didn't have!

Prior to Celebration at a local toy shop I was able to re-acquire my Steve Austin (2nd release 1976) figure with the "Critical Assignment" outfit/ features. The figure has all working parts, including the other 2 arms that came with the package, plates to hide the bionic legs, and as you can see he's in excellent shape!

Lets see more Steve Austins!!!!

Austin was sadly a bit before my time, but I've always wanted one for the collection. TBH I don't know much about them as to which version or value. Guess that's something to add to the list and do some research on.

I always figured I'd go for one in the red jumpsuit.

Hey guys just added this little bad boy to my collection. Its a 1980 Remco 8 inch Universal Monster Mummy (Karloff). I had the entire line back in the day, but this one was always my favorite. His head and hand glow in the dark. There is a square push section to his back which allow his arms to close in a bear hug. Great condition, and still works. Sorry I have to use the Ebay photo until I recieve it in the mail. Enjoy!

YES! I'm a HUGE fan of Remco's vintage Universal Monster figures. Last year my buddy found me this odd custom that someone did with that Mummy figure. He's bandaged with some form medical tape and weathered. It's extremely well done:

Here is my boxed Frankenstein from that line as well. The box art on these is amazing:

I also have a complete loose set of the regular Mini-Monsters with the Haunted House Playcase. Currently I'm trying to complete my set of carded Glow in the Dark figures in the rare Starburst packaging. I'm down to just needing Mummy and the Wolfman which are the hardest to find. My grail for that line is the Monsterizer machine. They're really, really rare and very expensive IF you can find one.

Those 12" Lili Ledy's are amazing. I love how different they are from the US versions.

He was listed at $175, but I got the dealer down to $150. Took it to the Toy Hunters booth (Jordan Hembrough) and he said that a boxed one was about $375-450 in mint condition, and a loose complete one in the condition mine is in should retail at $200-225. So I got a great deal, and couldn't be more thrilled. I have wanted one since it was released in 1979. Turns out that Kenner only shipped these figures to the midwest and east coast. So as a kid in California I would never had seen them on the shelves. Once the 12 inch line was dropped the figures were pulled off shelves completely. Go figure.

Fantastic deal! I would love to pick up a few of these.

Frank really takes me back... I remember going into the closet and closing the door just to see him glow in the dark. :lol

Love the Remco pictures guys! Yeah these bring back a ton of memories.

@ Flosi: Thanks! I could not believe the near mint condition of the IG-88, and the price. Jordan Hembrough said I got a great deal, and I am happy with that!
