Anyone know wh at the packaging is supposed to be like on those? Ideally it should be similar to the SW and Indiana Jones stuff.

One of the toys showcased in this week's episode of Toy Hunter was PULSAR and I knew exactly who he was because of your pic posted here. :lol

Here is an update boys!

I grabbed a "Mission to Mars" Steve Austin off Ebay for $50! Does anyone else recognize the guy with the white hair.............YEP PULSAR the Ultimate Man of Adventure! 1976 Mattel Toys.

The guy at CVI said they have the rights to the packaging designs, so I would guess cardbacks like figures from that time.

I think the look of the ALIEN figures will be similar to the packaging on the original Big Chap figure. So it too should have a great vintage look to it.

Nice! Can't wait when the Alien figures are ready for order.

Per the company they are on track for 2013 and looking at old school blisters if possible...

What? BK glasses?!? That is too damn cool :panic: :panic:

Have any prices been mentioned yet?

He said he's hoping to keep the figures around $20 and they should be widely available. He said he wants to do the line like it should have been done back in '79 that means no stupid exclusives just a straight release. If this works out well Super 7 will be doing other 3 3/4" lines but probably not vintage revivals like this.

Glad to hear they are avoiding the exclusive and chase variants... that **** is annoying as hell and again never happened back in the day.

I saw that and was laughing when the guy paid 150, I only paid $30!

That rocks the house! This announcement with the glasses and the figures is by far the most exciting thing to come out of the action figure market in a long time, IMO.

Did yours come with the box? I imagine that the prices on a lot of those toys profiled in the show are off the mark. I just like to see what's out there and take a trip back down memory lane to the toys I played with when I was a kid.

The prices on the show are complete bs and the "sales" are all staged.

No box, but as you can see near mint condition. I will say this. I bought it at Big Fun in Cleveland, and they are usually a big rip off. They had him tagged at $70 without the box, and I scored him on a slow day for $30. Is the box for this guy worth the difference???? Not to me. I had him as a kid, and just wanted him back, so the box didn't matter to me.

I have met Jordan a couple times and saw the filming of one of the episodes "sales" and it was shown on the show, as it was in person, so I am not sure if they are staged.

Jordan is a real cool guy, down to earth, but a bit gruff (NJ style) in his tone. You just have to get used to it.

While I'm still a good forty-something figures away from a complete Kenner SW collection once in a blue moon I like to do up a custom using an extra figure or two. Earlier in the year I wound up w/ two Anakins and since one was was discolored I decided to do a figure I'd wanted to try for a while: "Post-'85 Old Ben". I like to think of him the ghost of Obi-Wan. The head is from General Madine and the rest is paint.
