Yep, the limbs seem especially susceptible to fading.

I had actually kind of forgotten how off he looks until Waller mentioned it :lol

thats awesome. all these pics of vintage star wars makes me wanna start im just terrified at what ill get myself into. if anyone wants to part with a bunch of figures at once please let me know. :1-1:

I just started recently, though I've been considering it for a couple years now. I had a handful of really perfect figures, about 7 or so, to start with. Since then I've been picking up figures here and there through eBay, which can be rewarding and frustrating, and through the Rebel Scum forum, where a few members here had directed me.

Anyway, I've stayed away from large lots so far and just grabbed individual figures. It's been a lot of fun! Maybe you can keep it simple to start and just pick up the first 12 figures?

Just got a Snaggletooth, Klaatu #2 and Dengar this AM for about $5 ea. :D

For those of you interested in jumping into the Kenner line, now is a great time to start. Prices are at some of the lowest I've seen in quite some time, it's definitely a Jabba's market. Even the "grails" of the line have some down considerably (Skiff & A-Wing).

Yeah, I've seen some great deals. Just trying to stay on target with only figures right now.... thought I've been tempted by some vehicles and playsets.:panic:

We'll see on the playsets... I'm definitely going to grab a Falcon, X-Wing and Tie Fighter at some point though.

When does that PO today? I need a price dammit!! :gah: If it's somewhere around $170 I'm down like Charlie Brown.

What's a good price on these now, compared to times past?

Yeah, I think i need a Falcon. And then keep it away from my son...or buy him a junker. Little Jack stole my Cobra Stinger and won't give it back. :lol

I'd say prices for the most part are in the shiiiitttter. Besides the occasional bidding war on eBay. It all depends on what you're looking for, loose figures I'd say it's a buyer's market. Carded figures...not so much. There was a time an A-Wing fighter would command $400 loose, now with reissues it can be had for a whole lot less. Same with the 12" figures. Parts still seem to fetch a good amount, again as long as they are real.

Well, I could probably pass on an A-Wing. I'm not too keen on vehicles... I could see myself getting an X-Wing and maybe Darth Vader's TIE fighter, and that's more or less it.

The POTF Skiff might be nice though, as it would lend itself nicely to be displayed with figures... What do you think I'd have to pay for that, loose?

So I may have spoken too soon regarding my Kraken debaucle...

Seems the tracking number provided by USPS never updated (past the point of acceptance) so w/o contacting me Paypal closed my case. When contacted them with a seriously large WTF I was told that if I could prove the package arrived I'd be in good shape.

So I went to USPS and learned that most likely the label "fell off" my package, but that the insurance tracking was showing up as delivered. Unfortunately insurance tracking numbers are not visible on-line, so I had USPS type up a report and mail it to me.

I let Paypal know and they told me to fax it in... so I do that on Thursday.

Today I get an email saying the claim has now been found in my favor and they would send an email to the seller "requesting" he refund my money. I contacted Paypal as I expected a refund right away and was told that it was now up to the seller since I was unable to provide tracking on-line for the package :thud:

Needless to say I'm super pissed right now... :cuss :cuss :cuss

Out of curiosity, how much did the Kraken run you, J?

$180 shipped... and with the $13 it cost to mail the damn thing back I'm out a total of $193 on the deal.

Rest assured I will make myself a pain in Paypal's side until I get some kind of resolution here.
