$180 shipped... and with the $13 it cost to mail the damn thing back I'm out a total of $193 on the deal.

Rest assured I will make myself a pain in Paypal's side until I get some kind of resolution here.

If you've got one thing going for you it's that they always tend to side with the buyer, or at least it seems... Good luck! :duff

Wow. I love that you get the artwork on the box (which is AWESOME) AND the art of the book cover (also awesome) with the two figures, which are inherently awesome. :rock

I just sold these the other day.

So I may have spoken too soon regarding my Kraken debaucle...

Seems the tracking number provided by USPS never updated (past the point of acceptance) so w/o contacting me Paypal closed my case. When contacted them with a seriously large WTF I was told that if I could prove the package arrived I'd be in good shape.

So I went to USPS and learned that most likely the label "fell off" my package, but that the insurance tracking was showing up as delivered. Unfortunately insurance tracking numbers are not visible on-line, so I had USPS type up a report and mail it to me.

I let Paypal know and they told me to fax it in... so I do that on Thursday.

Today I get an email saying the claim has now been found in my favor and they would send an email to the seller "requesting" he refund my money. I contacted Paypal as I expected a refund right away and was told that it was now up to the seller since I was unable to provide tracking on-line for the package :thud:

Needless to say I'm super pissed right now... :cuss :cuss :cuss

Sorry Joseph.

I loved that coloring book. :monkey2

Well... guess I spoke to soon. Got an email a bit ago and they are now going to credit my account for $180. Not sure what changed, but I will not complain about the outcome :duff

Vintage Fairy paid me a visit today...

Amanaman is in perfect shape. I'm a happy dork. :rock

The gods have favored you two today, you have done well my sons :bow :viking

:lol :lol :lol

Congrats on the vintage pick-ups... I love that Amanaman figure; easily my favorite offering of the POTF series.

BTW, when you go to pick up a EV-9D9 don't be too worried about warped legs. Mine were pretty wonky when I got him, but a dip in hot water to get them rubbery then sticking them in ice water when I had the right shape did the trick. Now he stands like a champ :lecture

Glad to hear. No one should lose that kind of money in this day and age.

Uh.....Crom. Ski is right. :duff

Thank you, good sirs! :hi5:

Thanks J! :rock

Speaking of standing figures how do you have yours displayed? It wasn't an issue when I had 20 or so but now that I have over 40 I find that I'm knocking them over way too often for my liking. Some are on those 2" circular stands but those seem to take up quite a bit of room. :dunno

And thanks for the EV-9D9 advice. :wave I've noticed quite a few broken ones on sale. Are the arms an issue with that figure?

Yes, to Galactiboy you listen to...BUT be careful of her arms. Specifically her left arm, I'd say that about 50% of them are either broken or about to be broken. Some ****** bags even glue her arms. Kenner SW dealers are either extremely open and honest or they're complete douchebags. Just my experience.

Deak's right... the arms (and particularly the left one) seem to be very prone to breakage. I've seen MOSC examples with the arm rattling around inside :lol

As for keeping them standing its just a lot of patience. I thought about using those stands, but found the took up too much space. Once in place they all seem to stand just fine, but the other day I moved a figure, knocked over 4 more and literally spent an hour trying to get everything back in place.

At one point I had to walk away :lol

:lol :lol

I'll post one last thing about my Paypal debaucle... so the refund posted today and this was the subject:

Subject: Refund for case ID: PP-XXX. Thank you for being a PayPal top customer.

They sure didn't treat me like a "top customer" on the phone, but either way glad this stupidity is now done :lecture

on the subject of using stands for your figures................i could have sworn that a few years ago someone put out a small cylyndical magnet that fit into the peg holes of the feet.............:dunno
that would mean that whatever you put it on would need to be some kind of metal though.

anyone hear of this or remember these?

I have a solution for your stand problem. But I don't want lurkers to get in on my Kool-Aid so I'll PM youse guys (you, Waller, and Flosi).

:lol:lol:lol

I have them on top of some detolfs right now and there are so few that I can spread them out, so when one falls generally it will only knock over 3 or 4 more figures... I'm worried what it will be like when 10 or 15 figures fall and gun drops behind my display. :panic: :lol

Oh well, I'll figure something out. :dunno

That bad guys set is a POS :lol I bought them MOSC a few years back and the legs on all of them were twisting and warping in the package... not to mention the look like a $.99 store knock-off toy :lol

Do you still have your BA? I'd be curious to see the difference. I'm seriously considering upgrading to the 5" Galoob figures. I think they look a bit cooler than these... and are sculpted in their signature outfits.

Took a bit, but here is what the BA looks like in my Galoob carded set.

I liked the A-Team Bad Guys. You can't go wrong when you have a guy with an eye-patch and an oddly out-of-place Native American! When I was a kid, I had an in-scale metal Tonka van they used to drive around in as the B-Team. It was beat-up and rusted, but could take beating. I would just fling that bugger off the tops of steps. And the bad guys wouldn't break b/c they were designed in that crappy five-point articulation style.

I still like these Agglo knock-off Joes the best.
