Well we can keep the OG versions for the collectible and purchase the new versions for the sounds and re-playability.

I might if it comes down in price and I can order it somewhere that will package it well. Amazon will probably have the good price, but not good packaging.

For vinyl I found that Amazon has some of the best packaging with their cardboard boxes. Best Buy is DA WORST!!!!!!!!! :lol

For single and double albums, I agree. Not for box sets, though. I bought the big Beatles mono set from them when it came out and they just put it in a bigger box with a couple air bubbles. It showed up with a huge dent in one corner. Back it went and I ordered it elsewhere.

Ah, ok!! I haven't gotten a box set yet. So that explains it.

A lot of things from Amazon come packed that way. That's why I always cross my fingers when ordering The Hobbit movie sets with the statues. I'm really surprised they survive the way they're packed.

Agreed. I worry whenever I order any art or making of books. :(

Thought I would share the current state of my collection and set up! (sorry for the horrible photo)

Everything in my main 2x4 unit is alphabetical up until the last cube, which is all extra and newer stuff which I haven't had a chance to alphabatize and shift over yet. The 2x2 on the right are all soundtracks that are organized by record label and catalog number. I have a ton of mondo/death waltz/waxwork stuff which fill almost 3 full cubes and the last cube is all miscellaneous soundtracks.

The rest of my collection is spilling out into storage boxes (have about 60 more LPs). Definitely need to look into a new piece of furniture very soon.
