What will happen to the price of the 12" PZ with the new PZ PF?

Have to agree with a lot of the nam's logic on this. I also have to admit that my vote in the poll is totally incorrect. I read the question to quickly (while at work) and thought we were talking about the aftermarket price of the PZ EX PF, not the 12 inch. So really, I'm with the majority in thinking the 12 inch price will remain the same.

Also, I will never own one at that price. But, I do have the PZ EX PF, so there!

That will have to be enough for me.

Oh, and bring on more Dead 1/6 soon SS!!!

Premium Format

I think it will go up to about $450 for a while and a couple of years from now it will be around $500. I think the Exclusive might hit $800 or more. It is a very popular line....

12" Figure

I think the price will remain the same and even drop as more and more PFs come out for the Dead Line.

I think fans of the 12" line will still collect the line and fans of museum-quality pieces will collect the Premium Format line. I'm sure you will get new fans here and there from each of the respective lines, but I could not see one line, the PF, affecting the 12" in a negative way...only in a positive way.

With the production runs of the 12" figures and the PF line being so small...I think that if a piece doesn't sell out in a few days to a few weeks, that only speaks for the piece itself.

I for one can see a very low production run hurting the overall appeal of a line. With only 300 figures of Patient Zero...you have really only 300 people or less that have a chance at a true "complete" set, with variations and such. If having each and every figure doesn't affect you, then a line can survive by creating bigger and better peices than the last. If adding a new PZ PF keeps the line alive...bring it on!

I think the Premium format figures are gorgeous! That being said...I would get tired of seeing the same figure in the same pose all the time. The PF figures are statues, yes? I like my figures to move about! :)

Eh, I don't know about the "museum quality" comment. :lol Some of the figures we already have possess considerably more detail in the headsculpt for being a smaller size. Hell, the ornament was gorgeous and considerably more detailed facially than the PF. Too bad they wasted that by gluing it to a ball and not a figure. Even the Tactical Operator, avocado color aside, has an awesome sculpt. Honestly, I think all of the pieces - PF included, in one way or another, would easily qualify as "museum quality." It'd be neat to see them all displayed in an Armageddon themed show at a gallery.

Don't forget about display issues. I don't think, unless you have a horror-themed household, he'd be too appropriate in most family settings. In addition to that, there's also the issue of sheer bulk and height.

Haha!! Yea, that'd be great... PF PZ looking over your dining area with a house full of people on Christmas Eve or Thanksgiving! :rotfl

How 'bout Easter, centerpiece! :p Yeah, a shelf of 12' zombies will be admired and passed on to admire the other collectibles. A near 2ft zombie demanding attention is another story entirely.

I could picture everyones Grandma at dinner... "Honey is that man over there dead?" :lol

"...and why is he stripping at the dinner table? My sakes alive, he needs to button up his shirt and eat something, he's all skin and bones!" :p I suppose it's arguably a better conversation piece than grandma's bowels and how her stools have been looking like the giblet gravy... :monkey4
