Nope, I am not blaming Legitaa. I am just saying if his time is right someone at SS messed up.

sideshow does things the best way they know how. although it may not be fair, there's really nothing you can do about it. complaining to cs about the wait list recall order will be a waste of time and take years off your life.

a good loser accepts his defeat, congratulates the winner, and moves on with his life. they'll get 'em next time. :lol

 A friend of mine got on the waitlist at 17:08:53 and has never been contacted. Needless to say he will be calling SS first thing Mon. morning.

:lol :lol :lol

let us know how that turned out.

Nice attitude McLovin.

grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. :D

the squeaky wheel gets the oil. they won't know if they can change it unless they ask.

Is the time given on the waitlist reservations different depending on which time zone you live in?

Translation : I've got mine so what do I care.

It's so easy to tell someone who's been shafted to bow out gracefully...especially if you're not the one who's been shafted.

Agreed,I know tylerd's just busting balls which is cool.:D I'm happy for Legitaa. But for someone on the waitlist to see guys that signed up after us get converted is a bit of a kick in the nuts.:banghead I'm glad I bought a scuffed one off the Bay for $450 shipped because I thought I would never get converted anyway, but do feel people have a legitimate gripe about this one.

I don't think you are being fair. I got my SIM and was never on the wait list so I could take the attitude that it doesn't matter, too bad, life goes on, etc... But I can sympathize with the people who think SS messed up. People expect the wait list to be filled in the order that the orders were placed.

am i not being fair because you feel i'm lacking sympathy? i don't work for ss or i would recall the wait list in order. people can complain to sideshow but ultimately, they recall the list as they see fit. frustrating but can anything really be done about securing a sim from them? if you find out how, let us all know. there are a few wait list items i'd like to see convert too.

they recall the list as they see fit.

Really, I did not realize it was at their discretion. I thought that wait list were recalled in the order they were received. They really should make that clear when you place a wait list order.

and best of luck to those asking customer service for their wait list to convert on sim. :sick

i got lucky and found one from another source. i know someone on the wait list too and like any other wait list, contest or express update, it's luck of the draw. i'm still holding out hopes for an x-men vs. sentinel 1 and negative zone spider-man. i can dream can't i? what else can you do? :banghead

I think the wait list orders are supposed to be filled in the order they were received but I don't think it's a full proof system, no system really is and this might just be a case of a computer glitch. I agree you really cannot blame the person or Sideshow, unfortunately stuff like this happens in a our yet un-perfect world.

How do you interpret the above term and condition? Does it mean to that the wait list system is random and that queue order plays little or no part in the process? My thoughts are the queue position is central in the way the wait list reservation system works. The above snippet is just a legal statement to absolve Sideshow from legal responsibility when that system fails. I do not believe it is meant to be a statement that describes the normal operation of the wait list system. I agree that legally there is little a consumer can do in this situation when the system fails but to use a legal out to justify or ignore responsibility for a mistake is very simplistic and unsympathetic. To use a legal out and say “too bad, that is just the way it is” or quote a religious prayer “God grant me the serenity” with a grinning smiley face does not seem to be sympathetic to me.

i offer logic, you require sympathy. :violin sorry guy. don't shoot the messenger.

i have seen wait lists closed that i was on, only to see the item offered as a 'found 2 in the warehouse' newsletter special. i felt that they could have offered it up to a wait lister first, rather than first come basis but again i ask, what can you do? :dunno

there terms are written to describe their wait list experience. they will try their best to fulfill the reservation but mistakes happen. that's why you're not guaranteed an item on the wait list. seems simple enough to understand.

btw, that 'religious term' you speak of is the 12 step program phrase for addicts. collectibles can be an addiction too.

Exactly. If the waitlists are not first come, first serve but random then SS should come out and say it. They are the first one's to tell people to get on the waitlist's right away and not only do the provide waitlist order numbers, they provide the time ordered down to the second. I'm not quite sure what's happened with the SIM but it looks like someone has really screwed up here, and if that's the case they should be doing everything possible to rectify the situation. For a company like SS that pride's itself on it's CS record it's time to put up or shut up. I really feel for those who are going to miss out on this one...what SS is doing is wrong.......pure and simple.

there's always e-bay if the person truly wants one. it nice to get a statue you like or want but the world doesn't end if you don't get one. i'd love a red/gold im and my wait list didn't produce one. my collection will somehow survive without one because i just can't seem to justify spending way too much. there's always something new just over the horizon. i am looking forward to koto's im and bowen's modern im.
