Hey, not gonna lie: I'm totally ripping off part of your project idea as my own. Building the entertainment system for a smaller diorama. Mind telling me which specific electronic system you used? Also, have any ideas for a cheaper way to make the tv light-up? I'm debating doing what you did or just printed an opaque photo of the scene for my little tv. Sorry to steal your idea lol, but you're just so damn good!!!!!

I primed and painted all of the components black. Ordered some pieces of acrylic cut to the right size for the TV. Inserted a LED light inside the tv, wired it, added reflection panels to direct the light outward, put the image (printed on translucent paper) in and glued it all up.

For the stereo piece, I simply turned the front face of the stereo upside down (it oddly fits fine upside down) painted it and then added decals I made myself.
I may actually have an extra Stereo system and TV lying around, plus some of the LED components too. The TV and Stereo have already been base painted the correct color. Would only need to mask off the one black component on the stereo and paint that black. Not sure regarding the VCR combo. Have to look into that. But I'd be happy to sell you all that stuff for a reasonable fee (materials and shipping and such). Could save you some serious time. I'd throw in the Stereo Decals for free.

I know it doesnt look like much but I made MAJOR progress on my BrBa dio this weekend. First I finished up all the cuts to install the windows and doors.. Need to build the door frames etc.

Primed all of the structure with the first coat.

And covered the cellfoam with bondo to create the base terrain for the left hand side of the display.

Lots to do!

Major progress this week so far!!!

The walls have their base coat of paint. They obviously need touching up but I'll do that once everything is glued in place. Added the backlighting in the window.

Still need to sand down some parts of the exterior ground so that it fits a bit better. Obviously need to prime it and paint the base coat Started building the barb wire fence. Need to drill holes for the posts into the bondo.

Have to apply the stucco style texturing to the outside wall and obviously add the photo backdrop.

Here's the interior space with the furniture temporarily popped in for reference and the windows (still unpainted) popped in too. Need to put down carpet and baseboards, paint the door, add door knob and light switch. Curtains come after. Weathering on everything.

The Television is wired and working! It changes light colors in intervals of a few seconds. Really approximates the feel of a television playing in the room!

Wish there was a tiny bit more space in the room, but there's only so much space on my shelf. I think it looks good tho...

Probably the last interior detail to go in before the curtains will be the ceiling. Crossbeams and planks like in the show. I left a hole to accomodate more wiring if It was gonna be too dark, but I think the TV and windows are enough lighting. Maybe for an alternate look?
