Walls of Helms Deep Edition Size.....

In terms of the sculpt and the detail, this piece stands up quite well against the WETA poly. It's just not a scene from Helm's Deep that I would have chosen, and it's not a preferred choice for me for Aragorn. I would have much preferred Strider vs. the Wraiths on Weathertop.

So this dio is not a high priority for me for those reasons. But the FB/Eagle dio is more interesting to me. A more unique piece in terms of what's been made before and will do very well to complement my existing poly collection. That piece I will most likely order.

I have been getting a bit worried what with Frodo and Aragorns heads seeming bigger than usual, I hope it's not a trend! But they're still excellent and assuming the rest of the line doesn't resemble bobble-heads, I might just get them all!

Man, they look normal 2 me. I've been in stairing at my Frodo and pics of the Aragorn piece to see if they do look odd. I don't see it. Everything seems to be in proportion 2 me anyways. For whatever that's worth.

Well I look at the Frodo piece - which is great, don't get me wrong - and he seems very thin especially his fingers, and his head does look a tad big....but then I think well he WOULD be thin after his journey, as he is in the book, even if he isn't that thin in the films, and as for the fingers it is after all a small piece so he would have small fingers.....and I havent seen the Aragorn piece in person so he may be alright after all.....and maybe I've just answered my own worries!

The Helms Deep piece was HUGE in person. I wasn't imagining it to be that big. The same is true with the Ani/Obi diorama.

I liked both of these a lot more after seeing them in person and could easily recommend either one.

Both those pieces Tom where much bigger than I expected them 2 be. Not as much with the Aragorn piece but the Obi-Wan v. Anakin was.

I guess that with the Helm's Deep piece I has the Frodo/Gollum one in mind, and was surprised when it was so much bigger. (Although I would hope that a Berserker would be bigger than Frodo, duh. )

Are these suppose to be in same type of scale as the Marvel vs dios. I think these all look awesome. I just want them to make the Fellowship of the Ring as a dio in this line of them all walking. You could sell 3 of them and you can put them together to create the ultimate dio.

That's true. I had just looked at the Obi-Wan v. Anakin so I think that made it look not quite as big but its still big enough. If that makes sense.

This would be a nice idea--one single diorama would have to be pretty small, but a set of maybe three or four medium sized pieces that you could collect to produce the complete scene would be great. Yeah, you could tell by just looking at them in their respective cases.

That's BS Tom. If Gentle Giant were doing it all 3 pieces would be convention exclusives.
