I realized after I put him on the shelf that he is currently my only WDCC Mickey!

Thanks.

We've had to sell a few pieces over the years but my wife and I enjoy the ones we have. As you can probably tell, my favorite Disney film is Jungle Book and hers is Alice.

The only pieces not shown in the case are the Reluctant Dragon and the Small World England set which are on another shelf.

I'm so jealous of your Robin Hood figures. I'd love to get my hands on those. :lol Great collection btw too!

The Robin Hood line is one I'd like to get more pieces from ESPECIALLY the Prince John and Sir Hiss set.:pray::pray:

But of all of the WDCC pieces I'm missing, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride piece is my holy grail. And priced between $500-$600, it will remain beyond my grasp, unfortunately. :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

I wonder why there haven't been more WDCC Mr. Toad pieces? :dunno:dunno:dunno

(I don't count Blue Boy and Pinkie:pfft:)

The Mowgli & Kaa set and Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum are also HIGH on my want list!

DRAT!!! I was REALLY hoping to add the Mowgli and Kaa WDCC piece to my collection this past month, but was outbid on Ebay for it. :banghead :banghead :banghead

As you all know, you can score some REALLY sweet deals for some WDCC pieces on Ebay... if you time it just right. I got BOTH the Alice and Caterpiller pieces for just under $175!!

Usually that Mowgli and Kaa piece is offered through an Ebay store or online seller with a starting or buy it now price of $350 or so. Well, this particular auction was from an individual collector and it had a low starting bid. It ended up going for about $280 including shipping... which is a good price, but I was hoping for a GREAT price.

What with my WDW vacation looming, I let the piece go.... Until next time.

I just noticed that Disney Movie Rewards just added another WDCC piece to their rewards list.

If anybody has any Magic Codes from their DVDS they are not using... you can PM me. :monkey3 :monkey3 :monkey3

Tough luck on being outbid. I've yet to find any of my most wanted pieces on eBay for a good price. I keep hoping I will. I'd love to get Robin Hood and Maid Marian ouside of the wedding scene.

Having both Robin Hoods, I have to say that I much prefer the first Robin. It's much richer in color and it was sculpted by one of my favorite WDCC sculptors, Dusty Horner... who also sculpted that Mowgli and Kaa piece I lost. :(

Fortunately, I had my Robin signed by him. :)

The Robin and Marian wedding piece is nice. It's a bit bigger in scale than the other RH pieces and with all the white in the piece it has a sort of Lenox feel to it. And the color that is applied is a bit too shiny. But I still ike it.

I was dusting my WDCC shelf this weekend and it occurred to me. Since it looks like the WDCC pieces are grinding to a halt (with only one piece planned for next year so far) I wonder if this is going to be the last Mickey they offer?

My first Mickey is their last. :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

I hope not.

They have more than one piece coming out next year. Friar Tuck and Allan A Dale to go with Merry Matrimony off the top of my head.

Really? I just haven't anything about any releases past a seasonal Tinkerbell piece. Wow.

And it's great to hear that more Robin Hood pieces are planned to go with Robin and Marian. Currently the only piece we are missing is Toby... who is popping up less and less on eBay.

Thanks for the tip... I was able to find pictures of the impending releases when I googled "WDCC Friar Tuck" at this site:

Funny, I've been using WDCC Duckman's Blog to find out the most recent releases for YEARS and have never gone anywhere else. And since he hasn't updated his site in MONTHS I thought that their were no pieces planned for the next year.

Great to see that they are adding to the Merry Matrimony piece that I've started. Friar Tuck and Allan A. Dale look good. I might continue that line.

If you click the link for his blog the new releases were listed. I'm glad you found the figures though. I'm very excited for the new Robin Hood pieces. I wish I had picked up Toby and Skippy way back when.

Which Robin Hood piece are you missing?

Well, here's a re-posting of my collection minus Mr. Toad as Blue Boy, Reluctant Dragon, and It's a Small World England pieces which are on another shelf. All of my Robin Hood pieces are on the third shelf.

As you can see, I'm missing quite a few. I would like to get the Sheriff at some point and would LOVE to add Prince John and Sir Hiss. But that piece is rather cost prohibitive right now. I don't have much interest in Little John as the Duke... not my favorite piece. Wish they would make a regular Little john... perhaps one that would go with the Merry Matrimony set.

Then of course I'm missing Toby.

Anyone familiar with the Disneyana exchange? Have you ever used it? Is it pretty good. They have a couple items I want with a nice price and it seems like a great service. Thanks!

And my goodness Aerosmith it is an addiction. I haven't had it this bad since I bought my first Star Wars PF and decided I needed all other released to that date.

Previously when asked about DisneyanaExchange.com I gave them a good review based on past experience many years ago. I recently tried buying from them again a very expensive figurine, they took my money via credit card and then for two months they gave me the runaround. Finally, I asked them to credit the money back to my credit card and they did not. They stopped answering emails and the phone. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and got a provisional credit and I am still waiting for the final credit. On another Disney Message Board another person wrote this:

"Sad to say, they sent me a check for $2000 for a SOUP SCENE they sold for me. the check bounced...
They also have my FIRE AND FURY cel that they claimed they sold for $2000 and then told me the buyer backed out. So I am out $4000.
I have no choice but to turn this over to my lawyer."

Another person on the message board wrote:
"I got the run around from them when purchasing a big fig about 8 months ago. It took them 3 months to finally get it from the owner. I thought they had all the merchandise on sight, but for the most part they don't. Their office/place of business is the owners home in a very large residential neighborhood.
Since I live in Orlando, FL, I picked the big fig up in person. The lady who owns the Exchange and I agreed on a time. When I arrived I went to the door and a young child answered saying "Mommy's not home". I waited in the driveway for over 30 minutes for the lady to arrive. She had not even taken the big fig out of the shipping box yet to see if it was damaged by the post office. Luckily it was in excellent condition. From my experience I did not think they were very professional."

This is what another person said about them on yelp.com:
"Horrible customer service. Place an order end of May, beginning of June. Call in July for a status and was chided I was calling too soon. I had to wait 6 to 8 weeks. Called August 30 and left vm. Never got called back. Called again September 1 and they had no record of my order. Martha said she's call back in 20 minutes. Still waiting..... Have since gotten the piece somewhere else."

I have gathered all this information here and telling you all about it because I previously gave a positive review of them here. I now strongly encourage everyone NOT to do business with these people.

We have a message board that deals specifically with WDCC where you can keep up to date on the latest WDCC news and other Disney news. Here is the link:

Thanks for you link... it's good to hear that there might be another WDCC Jungle Book piece. IF so, I wonder who it might be? Colonel Haiti has never been done... and he would be a fairly big piece. Mowgli wrapped in Kaa's coils would be great too, perhaps even cheaper that the limited Kaa and Mowgli piece released a few years ago (a piece which is still a bit out of my price range). Also, I've always wished they went back to the original "I Wanna Be Like You" set and add a few more dancing monkeys or monkeys "playing" the tree logs to fill out that set. It remains my WDCC favorite set.

On a side note, I must admit I was a bit surprised at the lack of representation WDCC had at WDW during my last visit this past December. I saw under a dozen different pieces tops at the parks. The Big Figs too were well under represented. It appears that most of the collector shops have turned their attention to the Vinylmation craze; a craze that I find myself strangely immune to. Good thing too... my wallet couldn't handle the strain.

Thanks for the update jlp. I had some difficulty when I ordered some stuff from them, but nothing big. One of the figures was broken and then when I got it replaced it took forever and it wasn't in mint condition either. I definitely won't take the risk again though.

I agree about WDCC and Big Figs being underrepresented. They used to have more Big Figs out. I don't even know where to buy Big Figs honestly because the Disney store on-line usually has a poor selection as well.

I just noticed that Disney Movie Rewards added a STUNNING WDCC piece to their rewards program:

It costs 14500 points to purchase it... a bit much in my opinion. Unfortunately my balance currently stands at 3000. :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

Anybody have any Movie Rewards points they are not using?
