Hope everyone had a happy Christmas! I haven't posted pics in awhile so now it's time for the onslaught.

I posted Jingle Cruise photos a few pages back but turns out, they heard some complaints about it being disappointed and they added to it. I dunno if Florida followed suit but this is kind of unheard of for them to make such a change so quickly. Pretty amazing.

But here's Trader Sam, decked out as Santa…

It's really simple additions but it definitely helps. A lot of people wait in long lines for this ride thinking it's completely changed only to find that the jokes were more holiday themed. I'm sure it's popular enough for it to return next year and I'm sure more of the animals will be holiday themed.

They now give tours daily at 10:30am about the history of the theatre and its relation with Disney. (Fantasia also made its debut at the theater, as did Gone with the Wind)

The ceiling of the restaurant features murals of the enchanted forest from Snow White.

Every morning during this time, they have three candy makers make three batches of Candy Canes… FRESH for a lucky hundred people. The candy stores here also sell hand-made candy canes, but those are made in bulk and shipped over. The hand-made ones at the park are literally made there on the premises so you know it's 100% fresh. They're ginormous and at $14, not a cheap bit of candy. But, it was pretty tasty!

In order to get one you have to come at opening, find out which park they're making it that morning (they alternate between Disneyland and California Adventure) and you get a wrist band with a time to return to get your freshly made cane.

Here's one candy maker making those canes..

I'm going to Disneyland Paris soon. Any request for pictures?

I've never seen too many pictures of the Disney Studios park… maybe because it's not very photogenic but I'd like to see more of that.

Also the Disney Characters, either on parade or walk-around….. and… pictures of the food you eat! I never think to ask for this but food all around the world is so different it'd be interesting to see it.

Thanks!

I'll do my best. The reason why you don't see a lot of pictures of the Studios park is because... well... it's boring. :(

Hehe yah… I realize that. But i'm sure there's still good pictures to be taken. Do your best. :)

Thanks for sharing pics.
It's a magical place for sure and I love going there during the holiday season when the park transforms into a Winter Wonderland. :yess:

I forget if I've mentioned this in here or not... The way my wife and I save for our WDW trips is to buy $25 or $50 gift cards here and there. It's much easier to sneak a few of those in per month than get hit all at once with a giant bill for the trip.

The problem with this is, using small gift cards at check in takes forever. I have emailed Disney a few times over the past year or so, saying they should make a Disney savings account. Whenever you want, you can add some money to it, either through credit card, Paypal, gift cards, etc. This way you can add to your trip's budget while you're home, instead of wasting valuable Disney trip time.

Well, today I saw this:

Now, I'll be realistic - I'm sure I'm not the only one who had an idea like this. But considering how much I spoke with them about it, giving my own personal reasons for it being a good idea (rather than just "this would be cool"), I'm going to feel like I can take a bit of credit.

Right on! I'm surprised they haven't done this sooner. Flexible Spending Accounts shouldn't just be for Health… it should be for Disney too!

Now if only we can get it tax free...

Disneyland has always been cool but I don't think you can quite grasp how awesome it is til you have kids and you take them there for the first time. We took our twin girls there a week ago and it was amazing! Granted it was crowded beyond believe during the xmas break but well worth it.
