Anyone going to Star Wars Weekends? I have never gone and was wondering what time I should get there since I have heard the autograph fast passes go pretty fast.

I never gone but imagine you should get there as early as possible. So far there has never been a guest unique enough to make me wanna go. I'm sure it would be fun though.

Yeah when I went to a SWW (without actually realizing it until I was there), the "star" signing autographs was Jake Lloyd. No thanks.

Star tours has an official end date:

Disneyland: July 26
Hollywood Studios: September 8

It is really weird actually seeing a final date. I was in Disneyland the week it opened, and they were giving away posters of two M&Ms boarding the ship. I had that thing hanging in my room for probably a decade.

Definitely the end of an era.

It still makes me sad, though. Star Tours has such an awesome OT feel to it. It really feels like an authentic SW exeperience.

I will look forward to the refurb but I'm really glad I have a lot of memories. Will definitely be hitting it up several times in early July.

Yeah I know what you mean. The hairstyles and the costumes for the people in the video look so vintage. And I'm not looking forward to the podrace sequence. I hope they make the time in hyperspace last a little longer. Just a few seconds, as it is it feels like a microjump...

Yeah, that's what I was more referring to. While Star Tours isn't exactly disappearing, THAT one essentially is.

Those grainy, dated pre-board videos will be missed.

Maybe hyperspace this time will involve not using precise calculations and have us bounce too close to a supernova. Then the ride would end.
