I'm not sure why they do not upgrade some of the rides like they do in DL

Extensive ride upgrades require a lot of time. WDW is a worldwide destination, much more so than DLR. So when families are planning, sometimes literally for years, for their dream vacation to WDW, the last thing they want is to either a) track ride rehab lists and see their favorite ride will be closed on the only time they might be there this decade or b) find that out when they get to the park.

Got this baller shirt in the mail today:

That's a cool design but I couldn't get on board because the 40 is only how long it was celebrated in Orlando. The ride/show itself is MUCH older... so I would rather celebrate the real age of the attraction from when it debuted in 1964.

And yup, WDW management would rather not hear from the very angry families who travel all that way, spent all that money only to not have been able to do a classic ride. Which makes me wonder why they would shutter the Wonders of Life Pavilion completely. That's several attractions off the roster in one swoop. But also the problem is that they don't have that many rides in their parks to begin with so that closing one is more of a loss than it is to close one at Disneyland.

It's pretty crazy that Disneyland has three E-Tickets being updated right now though, four if you count Small World. I don't think they've been on that kind of schedule in a really long time. But all for the greater good of the 60th anniversary I suppose.

But it hasn't been continuously running since 1964, so any other "anniversary" would be disingenuous. 40 years is its longest consecutive stretch.

I don't know why but I think Epcot is one of my favorite parks. Its just a nice break from the others getting to wander around and not feel rushed to do everything. Its got a few quality rides, although I'm sad that Honey I Shrunk the Audience got swapped back for Captain Eo, and the light show at night is probably my favorite. But I could just be biased because that darn Club Cool place introduced me to Manzana :monkey5

Oh ya, and Beverly... its like the Italian military marching across your tongue lol. I remember my first time in Club Cool... it was HOT out and we were dying. And then a light shown down from the heavens on this little igloo looking place over on the corner that we didn't see before. I remember getting blasted by cold air when we went inside and once there we didn't want to leave. It was kind of surreal, like when you're playing Prince of Persia Sands of Time and you stumble into one of the trippy secret fountain areas. Klub Kakolukia :lol

World Showcase is my favorite part of WDW. Delicious, diverse food and drinks, beautiful music everywhere, people from all over the world to chat with...it's not officially a Disney trip until we are tipsy, watching acrobats, street performers, or a good old fashioned slutty Jasmine. :)

Yeah, the first time I went in I was like, "Oh, a Coca Cola gift shop... okay. Wait, we can try this stuff? As much as we want???"

I've always been tempted to bring my empty cup from Sunshine Seasons in and fill it up with Mezzo Mix. Kinley, the lemon soda from Israel was amazing as well.

True but if it was a restaurant that existed and changed locations, they would still have a "since ____" whatever year it was that they started.

I suppose it comes down to preference.

Yes! Never done it but when i see sombody doing it everyone glares at them. me, im just afraid if i do it will break the system, the place will disappear- turn back into a pumpkin :lol

I personally can't stand company sponsored rides. Last time I made it to WDW the Test Track was closed mainly because the sponsor had pulled out and they had to redo all of the signs for the new sponsor. I know there is more to that, but it is a big part of it.

I like the world showcase too, as it has 2 of my fav rides/attractions; Grand Fiesta Tour and The American Adventure. The German buffet is pretty good too.

I love the French bakery last time we were there got some amazing stuff I cant even rmember what it was called- it was a layered thingy

I heard they got rid of the place, if its true i may have to drown my sorrows in Beverly- thats the drink :lol

If anyone is wondering why Test Track doesn't go faster, it's because of the corporate sponsorship. These car companies do not want to endorse going faster than the usual speed limit of 65 mph.

Man, all these pictures and stories really make me want to go back to WDW soon. Its been about 12 years now since I went.
