Primarchs would blow my mind! I don't think I would resist Angron, Curze, Alpharius/Omegon or Lorgar! Why stop there, who says we can't get an Emperor of Mankind? =P

If Primarchs are out of the question, First Captains from M31 would be nice too. Imagine Kharn, Sigismund, and Sevatar!

40k is gaining more and more popularity the last few years. The Horus Heresy novel series is by far the best/most read 40k stories yet. In a few years who knows? We might see some awesome collectibles yet! Think positive!

No. we won't.

Games workshop dosn't want anyone other than themselves making anything that might even POSSIBLY take away from their buisness model of selling plastic army men. They think that if their customers are buying 500$ statues, and action figures, then they will stop buying new minis and rule suppliments. THEY own black librairy, and use it as a way to introduce new fluff, so books are ok, but movies are not.

Hell, they have such a deathgrip on their IP, that if you have a tattoo that is related to one of their IP's, they will ban you from tournament play, lest it inspire others to do the same, and in so doing spend less money on their products.

In short, they're insane.

Shhh. Hush now! Let us dream! :rotfl

But, you're right lol. Remember the whole Chapter House lawsuit? Yikes!

I'm not too familior with that actualy, been out of touch with all things GW for a few years now. Illuminate me?

Simply put, Chapter House was making 3rd party add-on pieces fro GW minis.(Should pads, weapons, etc). GW sent a cease and desist letter, but Chapter House pretty much ignored it. GW finally had enough, and released their lawyers.

The verdict of the case was pretty interesting. GW obviously expected to wipe Chapter House off the face of the Earth. But all said and done, results were more likely in favour of Chapter House. Here's a break down of the verdict:

oh neet. so they're a 3rd party company. Like forgeworld, but unofficial.

Wish more people did that. I need to make some female cadians.

They need to chill.
On one hand I can understand, they've created a universe and story that I think could rival most of the big popular IPs, but on the other hand, whats the point of building a big beaat, if you're not going to let it off the chain?

I don't think they should go "full retard" like Marvel did with their IPs back in the late 90s leading to their present day situations, but I think they definitely need to make some astute, well thought out licensing decisions.

and just as an fyi...I haven't been an active player since the 90s, but I still can't pass by a game store or GW shop without stopping in and I still pick up White Dwarf from time to time. I think the mythos is as enthralling as Star Wars or Transformers, so I think a line would have value to others, rather than just active players. I guarantee if SSC posted a preorder for a Commander Calgar or Maugan Ra, I'd be ordering that **** the minute it went up.

I so agree. it's phenominal Stuff. It's basicly Call of Cthulu in space.
If you're a fan of Table Top Pen and Paper RPG's You should check out Dark Heresey.

Games workshop is retarded , even the mention of forgeworld is bad language in there.
I remember meeting somebody witn a massive forgeworld statue I had painted and he would not look at it as though it would turn him to stone.
Also when you go in the shops they can't leave you alone to browse they just hound you.

... i proboboyl shouldn't share this, but I'm gonna..

If you've got a wife/GF with a good sense of humor, and a nearby GW store, sit where you can watch, and send her in alone.

They usualy swarm.

I actually find my local GW pretty good with leaving me alone. They always say hello, and ask if I need a hand finding anything. Happy to help if I say yes, but just as quick to let me be if I say no. Guess I got lucky!

Maybe they just know that I don't put up with them haranguing me by now! :rotfl

My girlfriend finds it hilarious, especially when I ask them about Warhammer of a particular display model; so begins a 20min talk about the design, Warhammer in general etc etc.
To their credit, everyone I see there are very helpful and friendly, just very passionate about the subject!
